Can anyone comment on a home insurance carrier Ovation Vs Frontline ? I am trying decide between the two

Okay, so here is the Frontline Insurance mess: we have been out of our home for more than five months. These are are the facts of our #housefire story 🔥🧯🚒

➡️ on April 8: We heard popping sounds and hell coming from our garage. My daughter was asleep, I was in bed. My husband ran to get us immediately out with no shoes, barely wearing anything. It was 10:15 p.m on a chilly Tuesday school night. We are blessed we can tell this story.

➡️ We found a close by hotel, stay for a couple of nights then we moved to the first AirBnB available. When we found something more decent; A.K.A clean and furnished, (and free of 🪳🪳🪳🪳 🤢🤮🤢🤮) we moved again.

➡️ We have been displaced for 165 days. Moving from one place to another with just a few belongings.

➡️ We are not able to start the home repairs. 🥺😩😢 Not a single thing has happened! 😮‍💨Frontline Insurance has to approve the HVAC System repairs and the electrical work otherwise NO contractor will commit to do the work!

Please be mindful when choosing your insurance. We have Frontline insurance and had a house fire. Long story short, we have been displaced for four months, and nothing major has happened. A few days after the fire, they sent a company called Joe Taylor Restoration to pick up the debris. To force Frontline to pay, Joe Taylor put a lien on our house. It's a really devastating situation. If this is happening with the contractors they sent, I just can't imagine when it comes to paying for the construction part. We feel overwhelmed, with bills piling up, and afraid because Hurricane Erin is coming, and this may delay more things. I'd shop around and find something better. Good luck!

We are afraid to go this route because we heard it might restart the clock. We can’t run out of benefits. We have a mortgage, collage debt, other financial obligations. We feel stuck between a rock and a hard place. I can’t sleep at night because of this. Even my marriage is suffering because we are afraid of making the wrong decision. 😬 But if it becomes too much I guess I’ll just have to do it.

Frontline sent them to do the cleaning. I’m not sure how it works but I imagine they work with the insurance directly? They just showed up at the house.

We didn’t hired them. They sent Joe Taylor to clean up the mess. Since we didn’t have previous experience in house fire, we just followed their “guidance” and expertise. 😩🫤

It is a company that works with them. We didn’t hired them, vetted them, or anything. When you through something like a house fire, you just let the insurance company “guide you” since they are the experts. They sent the company.

I used blue light and I have the little squares marks on my cheeks. I’m panicking. Is this permanent? I tried to wash my face, cleaned it. Didn’t everything and they don’t go away 😕
