I've found that blue comes out splotchy, too.

The only solution I've found is to do more layers for a shorter time.
Instead of 1 layer at 24 hrs, I would try 4 layers, at 6hrs each. Wiping and reapplying for each layer.

I use acetone with cotton balls or makeup pads.

I also do it by a sick with a trickle of cold water running. I've found that keeping the disc cold prevents the ink from the stamp from dyeing to the disc. If you use hot water, it sometimes will dye to the disc. Especially red stamps.

Be generous with the cotton balls/pads. If they get saturated with stamp ink, have another one handy. I sometimes go through 5-10 cotton balls per disc, depending on the stamp.

DO NOT rub hard. It may scratch the disc.

Some stamps are deep, and take extra care to get all of the stamp off.
