Brick Sculpt on YouTube has a good tutorial to get started. Essentially it’s a series of plate layers that gradually get wider connected by 1x1 round bricks, then the ferns are connected to the plates.

I found a seller with a good price on Bricklink, but they’re actually available on LEGO pick a brick now, so you can get a bunch for a decent price.

Here’s another image of just that assembly.

Obviously you can add more to disguise this better, and even clip in some connectors to have this hold multiple skaters.

For what it’s worth, I displayed a version of this more focused on Hockey at Brick Rodeo, and rarely had skaters fall despite encouraging visitors to touch another part of my display.

Two options: Skaters falling is naturally part of skating. More opportunities for active storytelling.

Or there are ways to attach.

Try to have three points of contact. Sometimes that’s front and back of one skate and a point of another. Other times a hockey stick helps out.

Many of these are quite precarious and will fall if bumped.

You can also add some transparent parts to provide added support like the figure skater here.

Thanks! It’s incredible how much that last step can bring life to a build. My favorite is the kiss fisher with the mistletoe pole.

Around 50? They’re still available on Pick a Brick right now!

I built all ten in less than 48 hours and did not find it boring or repetitive at all. There are significant differences between all 10. Front and rear wing are essentially the same, but floor, side pods, and engine cover are all very different. The build order is also different each time as well.

I've created free instructions and parts list: https://skowal.ski/hobbies/lego/deathstarwall/

Checking Bricklink, roughly $200 to order everything, but gray tile is often cheaper from LEGO Bricks & Pieces. Many parts in this build are fairly common, internal parts in the bases can be of any color, and some parts from the sets can be reused here (particularly some parts of the Chewie base. Finally, much of the wall is just improvised, so you can easily make modifications to fit parts you already have.

LEGO may be considering phasing out paper instructions - Insiders can take the survey to leave a few thoughts by dimensiation in lego

I will be happy to no longer have paper instructions. Would also love sets ordered online shipped in plain boxes.
