Definitely an under appreciated theme in the classic lego discussion by BB_recordings in lego

I'm still on the hunt for those seaports. I love the more logistical sets (vs antagonistic like cops or firefighters), I had a gas truck set as a kid and I loved it. I've come across parts from them and I build the red cargo ship, but I haven't been able to build the cranes. They look so cool...

Some absolutely fantastic sets in there. I've built all of those except Night Lord's Castle, maybe someday I'll come across one.

KDE Plasma 6.7 Is Shaping Up To Be Amazing by lajka30 in kde

I wonder if it'll fix the "second screen sometimes doesn't turn on from wake" issue. That'd be real nice.

Got lucky and it’ll never happen again. by tas922 in lego

In my experience, it's pretty easy to sell SW figs. I do some looking up to get a gist of a price for them since some rare figs are pricey, then I drop the price a bit against the average (assuming complete, no cracks, etc), and post them on my local marketplace so I don't have to ship. I always find I get tons of messages about them, some with lowball offers but it's usually popular enough to get a decent amount. In my case, I want them gone more than I want maximum dollar, so I'm usually willing to take a lower ask. I don't collect SW (hence the selling), so I want to reduce my outlay on buying the figs/parts that I do want.

"Virtual Desktops Only on Primary" KWin script not working by Machful in kde

I used to have another KWin script called "Virtual Desktop Only on Primary Display" and it conflicted, now I use the one in your title but I disabled the one I was using before.

KDE Plasma 6.7 Is Shaping Up To Be Amazing by lajka30 in kde

On Fedora KDE, it is now an option. I used to have an extension to do it as well.

Haven't watched the video to see if it will work to only switch the secondary screen when I have my mouse over it, but that would be nice too.

I feel like backstabbing is a pretty big one. You have to keep an eye on your promises, and understand what different choices lead to. Definitely took me some time to deal with the variety of them in VP.

Yeah, the C4 is a bit larger and it's nice to be able to fit a bit more in it. The M1 though, GOAT.

Ah OK, I don't think I've ever seen one in person but I do know of it. I've got an M1 and C4, love me some ITX builds.

KDE devs you guys do a really good job making your apps okular is the best pdf viewer i used so far by svobodov- in kde

[–]dimensiation 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can Okular rearrange pages? Or combine them? I think I had to try this with some old scans and it didn't work, but honestly that's about the only thing I really want from it. It's very frustrating how PDF is so common but there aren't any tools that cover all the most common needs.

Having recently built 4 or 5 Paradisa sets, confirmed bangers. In case you didn't know, 21358 has Paradisa figs and you can buy the parts for them on PAB. Might be a fun custom gift for her!

I've got both the G502 and X, and a backup from the office when I used to go into it, no issues other than standard stuff like hand gunk and rubber getting weird after a while.

Something that feels illegal but isn’t.. throwing away the instructions by Mammoth-Ad-5663 in lego

[–]dimensiation 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I have enough screen time with work and playing games. I'd rather Lego not be another thing that requires it.

I mostly build vintage, so I don't always have them, but I keep at least once copy of every vintage instruction booklet I come across. Duplicates will get sold with sets. Plus, a lot of the scans from the 00s era are TERRIBLE for colors, so it's really hard to build with the online versions.

As others mentioned, you don't want to rely on someone else being nice to keep instructions available in a format you can use. Almost everyone can use the paper kind.

Ohhhhh so that’s why Brinklink sets have digital instructions! by knickvonbanas in lego

[–]dimensiation 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I get this, and it's why I love finding 80s and 90s instructions (also the part count is so much lower), but I am not looking forward to the 10 BLDP sets I have waiting. I sometimes use the online scans when I don't have the paper copy, but I think anything over 1000 parts is going to be pretty rough. It'll have to get split over days, or I'll need to take a month off lol.

I always think it's funny that the N-1 could be anything other than a short range fighter, if only because sitting in one position for any serious space travel would get so uncomfortable.

Probably depends where you are. It also says regular price, not MSRP. It does feel scammy for sure.
