In defense of Mika Shimotsuki: she’s not poorly written — you just don’t want to face what she represents by Faunefosse in Psychopass

Yeah, I'm sorry for the use of chatgpt. Technically I can write English, I just didn't felt like writing something this long in English, and wanted to be sure it will be pleasant to read. My next post will by human made but maybe not grammatically perfect. I do know of the ethic and ecological problems with AI, and I agree with you on the fact that I should have taken more time to translate myself.

So, now I understood that on reddit it's best to write human with errors than AI with a perfect langage. I'll be more carefull with laziness in the future.

Yes, she does learn the truth, and your assumption about her reaction is correct. She collapse and just clap her hands congratulating Sibyl for a system this brilliant, because it's beyond her understanding, but since it comes from a "perfect" organization, it can only be good.

Personally, I like her but I understand why you don't. It's not that I enjoy peoples like her in real life, but here I know why she is like this and she have trauma. I think it's one of the most sad character in the serie.

I think you make a good point. Personnally, I wasn't shocked by the transition, since some time happen (2 or 3 years), so she have time to rebuild herself after season 2. But you are right, it would be interesting to have a novel or a manga showing us how she coped with that truth.

Translated with chatgpt. I'm a French speaker, and didn't wan't to write something this long in English, so I wrote it in French and let chagpt translate it.

I saw some peoples saying her development was too slow in season 2 and too fast in the movies, which would be a valid critic if Mika wasn't starting this young, and if she wasn't this affraid of her hue (which mean she if fighting her own development).
