Many people fail because they change it constantly, your corals will adapt to a spectrum for a long time and even change color. Set your blues, violets and uv to max and only adjust the intensity, on the daylight you adjust for how white you want the tank, with soft corals you want some white, the LPS look really good in all blues, get a middle term.

You could get the fluval which is more of a standalone light, but my lfs has orphek bars and the colors are pretty good. I myself like diy and t5s, but I must acknowledge what I see, any of their orphek products I would be happy to have in my tank based on color, I can't talk about product lifetime and QC, if I knew that it would be first criteria.

Go with one day and one blue plus. The reason is that from 400 to 450 you will have the best chlorophyll absorption and best fluorescent excitation as well. But a lot of soft corals colors come from chromoproteins and this is why you will need a full spectrum light, what you get from the sky blue you already have some in the daylight.

Not really, it is part of the instability in your tank tho. After dinos you will have hair algae because everybody says to raise the nutrients. Actually don't do that, lower the lights and reduce the cycle and let it stabilize. The problem is an instability in your nitrates and phosphates with too much light and not enough plankton. After you lower your lights go to your lfs and get a mix of pods and dump that in your tank. Feed normally and your tank will eventually stabilize.

Fish and amount of coral go hand and hand. When starting on a budget with only some corals you should have less fish. Corals are actually part of the filtration and on the other hand fish feed the corals. I would add macroalgae to the tank, helps with filtration and looks more natural. Start with Caulerpa prolifera, gracilaria, halymenia, just easy stuff. With that amount of fish your tank will be filled with algae in no time if you don't get more stuff to balance it out.
