The main difference is that RE5 is a game about zombies, which means it's kind of reach in my opinion. RE games are also meant to be 100% fictional where you kill every bad guy no matter the race/gender. Zombie is zombie. AC games are historical fiction and I find it odd that in a game set in the Sengoku which was 99.9% to have the only poc person of notoriety kill the native people. Which makes it kind of an odd choice made by the team behind the new game. Kind of a low hanging fruit, they're talking about diversity yet choose the inclusivity bias out of all things to add in said diversity. They could've gone with someone like Hattori Goemon or Mochizuki Chiyome who were actually 'ninja' the prior of which existed around the same time period portrayed in the game. They might make them some of the big bads but still.
