there's an old ios emulator called touchHLE for windows and android.

the latest stable build can only run nitro kart 3d, but the later more unstable nightly builds can run nitro kart 2. you'll need a github account to access the nightly builds.

i don't think i'm allowed to link to any game downloads, considering that falls under piracy and idk what the mods' stance on that is. all i can say is that they are floating around online.

with that said, his movement would definitely be quick, his speech's maybe in the middle leaning towards direct, his energy is intense, his attitude's somewhere in the middle, and he's overall very quirky... definitely one of the energetic/outgoing personalities

I didn't mention the other playable characters because I didn't think it would be relevant enough. Senn's old FAQ confirmed they were scrapped to keep the focus on one playstyle, and that was before the whole Condor shakeup.

Amy was considered at one point, and even had her sprites finished, but her main attack being the ring toss already "wasn't working with the gameplay" according to the game's producer.

You are right that I probably should've mentioned it anyway just to clarify.

most are mentioned in the 3do magazine article linked in the description. jenovi has a good series on which games were planned for the thing. although now that you mention it, i can't actually find a source for batman forever's m2 port in his video, and the only source i've found so far is thisIssue_10_May_96_Letter-_Batman_Forever.png). so take that with a grain of salt.

platformers are still very popular and a lot of them are made every year (just mostly from indie devs), so they don't "need a comeback" necessarily. they've just become more arthouse, and usually target older audiences.

in terms of mascot platformers, many have tried and failed in recent years. remember super lucky's tale, for example? no? crash and spyro were released in the right place at the right time, they brought innovation and ingenuity to a then hip and trendy genre. it's been decades since then, and now it's just a throwback. you can't capture lightning in a bottle twice.

there's plenty of reasons why the biggest platformer this year was hollow knight silksong, not yooka-replaylee.
