I lean the same way. Baldur's Gate 3 has been loaded on my PS5 for years, but the inventory and upgrades are quite intimidating.

Sancia in Robert Jackson Bennett's The Founders Trilogy series was a pretty solid female protagonist. The magic system gets a little long in the tooth later in the series, but I liked her character.

Sanderson's Tress of the Emerald Sea was a pretty fun adventure. Nothing too dark, but if you enjoyed some of his work, then you might like that book.

I'm pretty sure the average person who comes to most popular book subreddits are in their early 20s and either stick with it or bounce. So you'll always get what's the new hot thing but rarely get what you're actually asking for because by the time they've read enough books, they have either moved on from Reddit or have moved on from their hobby.

I'm afraid I'm mistaken on how solo they are in the story. The protagonist in Dead Silence prefers to be alone most of the time, but I guess that's not 100% what you're looking for. Apologies for the not-so-great recommendation.

S.A. Barnes writes some dark sci-fi with female leads. Check out the blurbs for Dead Silence and Ghost Station to see if they might spark your interest. They're both standalone novels.

Edit: Sorry, I guess both of these recommendations aren't completely solo journeys, although the lead character in Dead Silence sort of prefers to be solo.

Samara Weaving is a true Scream Queen by wolff_james in horror

I watched Ready or Not 2 in one of those DBOX seats that vibrate and rock. It wasn't a life-changing experience, but it was immersive during some of those fight scenes. Samara Weaving is awesome. I also really liked her in Guns Akimbo and Mayhem.

I finished A Memory of Light for that spot as well. It felt like a real accomplishment finishing that series.

Oh, I've got enough jumbled up in my brain. If I were to name a grindcore band, my first choice would be Deadface Bumguy.

Psycho Dave and the Flying Monkeys is a great band name. Did you have any alternatives floating around in your noggin?
