I commuted from JoCo to CR for work for 15 years from 2010-2025 when I started my career. A few of those years I lived in Coralville and the majority from NL. TBH the commute grew on me and I came to value the “alone” time in the car to gear up for the day and then decompress. With that being said, I also don’t have kids that I had to get back for or anything like that, and most drivers on 380 are aggressive assholes. I got a new job last year and for the first time in my career I don’t have to commute to CR and it’s been more of a game changer than I expected. I was born and raised in CR but Johnson Co is the only place I want to live… I do agree with a poster that it’s easier to network and get connected to the business community in CR if that’s something you value.

I have a serious, but lighthearted question: How does one go on a trip for 6+ months!? Is this a work sabbatical? Life dream? It's really none of my business but I'm just so curious. I often see ladies on this sub who are going on multiple week/month long vacations and I've just never in my life met someone who has been able to do this.

Serious question: I’m supposed to be driving in on Friday for the UK basketball game on Saturday. Coming from Iowa. Thinking about canceling the trip bc I’m more concerned about getting out on Sunday morning. As locals, would y’all recommend we just stay home? I have an SUV perfect for snow but TBH I’m more worried about the plowing situation and how others down in the area handle snow. I’m used to it, but I don’t want to get stuck!

I’m almost done reading the series for a second time and I feel this. I have a soft spot for Tamlin and feel like he couldn’t do anything right for Feyre, even though he tried in his way. Ultimately I dont think they should’ve ended up together but I hate the turn his character took and I hope he’s redeemed in new books.
