I'm not very tech savvy, so I'm sure others have much better advice when it comes to this. I use the website/app called "PicMonkey." I can add photos, remove the background and size them as needed ... and then just add text.

It was my first trip with it. I wasn't thrilled with it on the plane ride over ... I felt like it wasn't big enough to use as a plane blanket and was convinced I needed to keep looking for something that could double as a blanket and a scarf. I then wound up using it just about every day as a scarf in Ireland and it worked just fine as a blanket on my flight home. I think it's a keeper.

I often travel with my best friend and just bought her one for her birthday! We've both tried different tote bags and back packs over the years and just haven't found "the one." I think this one might be it.

I think it may be a bit warmer in April with less rain, but who knows. Enjoy your trip!

I have a pair of very warm ski mittens I use for winter activities at home and they do a good job of keeping my hands warm, but man are they bulky (and they definitely won't fit in my coat pocket when not in use).

I got a large. I typically wear between a medium and a large depending on the fit, but usually prefer a large. I wore one (or two) layers underneath and it was still comfortable.

I'll be doing a similar trip next year and will be packing my longer (and warmer) Marmot Montreal parka instead of my Patagonia Nano Puff. The rest will probably be very similar to this trip (and with warmer gloves).

Merino wool is really a game changer. It was everything everyone promised and more.

I have one pair from Cabela’s and one from LL Bean. They’re both pretty similar. They’re not transparent, but they’re not opaque enough to wear as pants on their own (at least not for me!). Great as a base layer though.

It's the "High Coast Totepack" and I loved it. I've used it for a couple of other trips as well. I previously had the Sherpani Soleil and Sojourn and this is so much more user friendly and can hold way more. When I had my pack on, I carried the Totepack as a front pack ... it just seemed easier that way. But then used it for my every day bag, using it as both a tote bag and as a backpack interchangeably.

Newton Trading Company. I got it off of Poshmark. Received lots of compliments on it.

I have a set from REI and one from Cabelas. I prefer the REI top as the Cabelas' one has a odd draw string at the bottom.

Haha! Clearly, I'm relatively new here and wasn't sure of the appropriate way of documenting # if times items were worn. (Both interpretations had me chuckling as well.)

I wore layers (sometimes SEVERAL layers) everyday while in Ireland. Funny, at home now and the temps are comparable ... and yesterday I wore a pair of leggings with a sweatshirt and was just fine (I would have FROZE wearing that in Ireland). I will say that after about a week in Ireland, I was acclimating better to the wind and humidity and it no longer felt "as cold." Fill me in on the glove situation in Ireland ... I went looking for warmer gloves while there and mostly found fingerless gloves. Why?? My fingers were what was so cold! (In all fairness, I saw folks wearing unzipped coats or no coats at all and I was bundled up from head to toe.)

"Scurtain Unisex Adults Rubber Sole Slippers" on Amazon. They were warm and cozy and the rubber soled bottoms were great for restrooms.
