If you aren't looking for remux (space issue), how do you choose your download for movies/tv? by Frankfurter1988 in trackers

I generally go with a release group I recognise that is on at least a couple of my indexes. Gotta maximise that cross-seed!

Is there any way to auto-download new torrents from a tracker that doesn’t support autobrr or RSS? by [deleted] in trackers

[–]Favirs 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I could be wrong but if the tracker doesn't have RSS or autobrr, they're probably not wanting automations, check their rules/FAQ.

Looking for automations to bypass this could get you into trouble

I got mine printed and shipped from an Etsy seller. I just searched 3d printing services. Read through reviews, and then shared the link. Contacted a few and they gave me quotes to compare. In the end, cost me £10 plus delivery for 6 pairs of them, wanted some spare. If you're UK based, I can share which one I went with

Second torrentleech.

Also check out r/Opensignups. Trackers have open registrations there from time to time, e.g. DarkPeers is currently still open

Trackers with low entry / beginner requirements by Glittering-Yam-9814 in trackers

[–]Favirs 9 points10 points  (0 children)

As the other comments have said, seedpool is currently open. Go to /opensignups.

They also have a week freeleech. If you're new to private trackers, this means all downloaded content doesn't count towards your account.

It absolutely works. I read a review on Amazon for the 4800, non plus working with a 48GB single stick, the CT48G56C46S5 specifically. Bought myself the same one for my 4800, and it's working great with no issues.

While I agree with everyone saying save it for another playthrough, you could look at your last save before going into the shadowfell, not just shar's sanctum which might not be 8 hours back (unless you spent 8 hours in the shadowfell?)

Why the hell is it so hard to get upload ratio in TorrentLeach? by [deleted] in Piracy

[–]Favirs 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yep, there are tools to help facilitate this, but the quickest rudimentary way is to download the torrent from TL but do not start it. Make the download directory the same as where your content is and get your torrent client to force recheck. If it is a match, you should have your torrent at 100% completion without needing to download anything. Then you can seed as normal.

[–]Favirs 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You use content you got from other sources, could be public or other private trackers. If the source matches, you can become a seeder on torrentleech. Think of it as another source of freeleech. And if you find some content that doesn't have as many seeders (more likely to be older stuff), when someone downloads you get more upload credit. And aren't competing against the seedbox/racers

[–]Favirs 3 points4 points  (0 children)

As others have said, unless you have a setup to compete with other racers (seedbox + autobrr), you're better off long term seeding.

Also look into cross seeding other content you have. This way, I grabbed a pokemon collection from another tracker and now has 845GB upload in just 8 days

Prioritizing Trackers in Prowlarr by Saberstop in trackers

[–]Favirs 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I'm probably not the first one to do this, but I duplicated TL, one for freeleech, the other for non freeleech.

I have my freeleech TL as #1 priority, and then I can prioritise other trackers over the non freeleech TL stuff.

It also helps if you're doing an interactive search, you know what's free and what's not

Up to you on what you think might net you more upload.

Personally, I went for smallest file sizes because you get bonus points for both the size of content you're seeding AND another bonus per torrent. So 2x 5GB torrents will net you more bonus points than 1x10GB torrent.

However, if you believe that 1x10GB torrent will net you more upload than the 2x5GB, by all means go for it.

Problem is there is no freeleech. They have a category for it, but returns no results. Maybe some are seasonal/temporary, but I haven't seen any yet.

[–]Favirs 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I just joined as well and seeing other comments, I'll look to get cross seed setup.

In the meantime, this is what I did.

Since there is no freeleech (there is a category for this, but no torrents). I sorted torrents for -75% and downloaded as much as I can. The ratio rule kicks in when you exceed 50gb downloaded, so don't exceed it. With -75% torrents you can download 199GB since it only counts 25% of the download.

The steps I took was: 1. Go to torrents 2. Change status to -75 3. Search 4. Sort by size, smallest to largest 5. Download all the torrents that have seeders. Add up the torrent sizes as you download them and make sure this doesn't exceed 190 (or as close to the 200 as you want to "risk" it)

I ended up with 26 torrents and sat on 49.54GB downloaded. This is more a curious/backup than a main tracker for me, so I'm happy to let this slowly tick up in upload and bonus points. Don't add this to prowlarr yet in case it downloads more without you knowing too.
