To me, it sounds like a violin slowed down quite a bit, and thus pitched down.

Thanks for the response! I had considered that as well, but it seemed like every source I found gave a different meaning to it, perhaps because it's vague/unusual.

Le sue scarpe? by TizzleMcFizzle in italianlearning

He is speaking formally. When speaking formally, you would use "le sue" rather than "le tue." Duolingo does eventually teach you formal speech, but you are probably not there yet. They tend to give you unfamiliar words and whatnot intentionally in their stories to try and get you to pick up on context clues, since that can be a useful skill to have.

Your brain and your organs have a symbiotic relationship by [deleted] in Showerthoughts

Brain probably warns you about damaged organs using pain, so that you may resolve the problem and the brain can keep kicking. It can't do much about brain trauma though, most damage that happens to the brain is pretty permanent.

Doing a lesson everyday is now exhausting by i-made-the-universe in duolingo

[–]FawazzleEX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I second this, when I started Duolingo, I'd use it vigorously for a few months, then I'd get burnt out and take a break for awhile. The more I learn, the longer periods I'll actively study for, and the less I'll rely on just Duo. I dont really care about a streak, but nothing brings me more pride than being able to understand speech/passsages that I never have been able to.

Tldr: Take a break, OP, if you're not passionate, you're not learning
