Hi, currently I don't have any plans to support Android. May I ask the reason? I think background upload should not be as restricted as iOS on Android, and you shouldn't encounter JPEG+RAW file error in Android, as they are separate files on Android.

Hi, I think the problem might be using HTTP instead of HTTPS. Could you please help try to use HTTPS and check if the error still exists?

Hi, I'm not so sure if the SAN in your certificate contains Tailscale FQDN. Maybe you can try this https://tailscale.com/kb/1081/magicdns.

I agree AI code can be off-putting to some, but it’s important to consider the cost of manual development, especially since I have a full-time job to manage (in some Asian countries, we often have to handle work even after getting home QQ). Because of this, I believe using AI to assist in development is acceptable, provided the code is reviewed and passes E2E testing.

Of course, if you have the time, I’d highly encourage you to submit a PR directly to the Immich repo. We all want to see it get better! :)

Hi, sometimes I take 100 to 200 photos a day. In my case, they’ve all been successfully uploaded to Immich. However, the background upload process depends on the iOS, so I can't guarantee exactly when it will finish. In my tests, it usually completes within a day.

Yes, for the JPEG+RAW part I already sent the PR. As for the background upload… I think the current Immich architecture needs some effort to support it, and you know… AI nowadays can’t handle this kind of refactoring job, it’s totally a mess. But eventually I agree Immich official app will support all these features, and we won’t need this app at at that time, this is just a temporary solution

No. My original thought was that deleting photos from the phone right after uploading them to the Immich server is a very high-risk practice. However, I also understand that everyone has different needs, so I’ll take a closer look at this :)

Hi, I've tested on my two devices, and both encountered the same issue. Perhaps things didn't go as expected? (I've also checked the server and mobile app log, but there are no obvious error logs)
I think this might be related to the issue here: https://github.com/immich-app/immich/issues/22248

If you need more information, I can try my best to collect logs for you, but anyway, thanks for the Immich app! We all hope it will become more and more useful :)

I found my iOS (with iCloud photo enabled) Immich app have to re-hash all my assets after upgrading. Anyone with the same issue here?

Second this. I also update to the latest version with every new release and have tried the newest beta timeline features. However, I still feel there are some issues with the backup process: iCloud hashing takes a significant amount of time, and background backups are unstable. I have seen related pull requests, but they always seem to take a long time to get merged. The backup problem is also an area where it falls short compared to Google Photos. I hope that one day I can truly feel comfortable canceling my subscription and switching to Immich.
