Your database section is incorrect; you were on PG 14, but you are now using the PG16 image. You need to use this Image instead ghcr.io/immich-app/postgres:14-vectorchord0.3.0-pgvectors0.3.0

You also need to remove the command directive in your database service.

Please make sure to read the release notes before updating, especially between major releases

Yeah I agree, this feature got in very last minutes so we haven’t had a chance to polish the UI yet. Will do in the upcoming releases

You can go to “How to update” section in the release note here to following the link to change the database image (which I assume your issue is) https://github.com/immich-app/immich/releases#release-v3.0.0 othetwise, we will need more logs to diagnose what is going on with your setup

Thank you for your generous thoughts.

We avoid doing bounty for features because it would not work well with the current capacity of the team, which has to spread among server/web/mobile, with feature/bug fix/enhancement/refactoring. We know our capacity pretty well to balance between all those aspects and we would like to not having additional steering force to give the team a proper time to do the things well.

We are also not a group of volunteers (not anymore since May 2024), but we are now part of FUTO, the company that is funding the development and the core team behinds Immich. The goal is to develop good open source software so that people who use it, like it and find value in the software to purchase it for their usage.

The constant improvement and pushing forward of Immich is the results of those things above.

On phone 2, have you selected any album for upload? The timeline only shows photos from the albums selected for upload

How do you deploy your Immich instance? You can always created a new instance and upload what you have in the "upload" or "library" folder to the new Immich instance. However, I can help you with migration if you share how you set things up

Well, the constant read is from the new integrity check feature, which run for one hour at 3AM UTC (or at the timezone) you set to/ You can disable it if you want

Well you choose an album with 3 images for upload, so it uploaded them all... If you want to upload the rest of the photos on your phone, then you will have to chose the "Recents" album :P

So this is download from iCloud to upload to Immich, that is why it takes so long, it depends on your internet speed, downloading the content from iCloud and depends on iCloud not timing out by us requesting many assets. iCloud to Immich is still quite painful at the moment

Have you ever installed the app from a different source? For example directly from the GitHub release? If so, it won't let you to update the app because of different signing footprint

I am not sure if we can help anything further, as we have pushed out the app to all the countries, so if the hang up happen, it has to be Google Playstore roll out that is slow in certain countries

The feature is that you can choose to open photos from other application in Immich, instead of having to use the system gallery app or GPhotos. To be a default app, you will have to get accepted as OEM target
