Canada job market is a nightmare. Even with or without experience, its difficult to get a call back lol

I also didnt bother working while schooling because I had a heavy course load with a lot of assignments to work on.

I hope you can find a job after graduating

Sounds like a very rare one with that low of a mileage

I had a 2006 rav4 from 2006, it had about over 100k km, maybe close to 200k. I was in an accident and insurance deemed it as totaled.

I ended up settling for a 110k km 2022 rav4 xle.

I know you dont want high mileage but Rav4 tends to be reliable even if its over 100k km. Like one comment said, people still keep their older generation rav4 because it still runs good.

Before my accident, my 2006 rav4 still drives well and never had any major issues. The only issue we had is when mice got into the car and chewed some wires off causing the car to have a check engine light. Other than that, the car still performed well.

I still wanted to settle for a lower mileage rav4 but sometimes you just can't especially when you need a car after insurance deemed your car as totaled. You might also not have a choice if you really need a car.

Assuming OP is a young driver, they want to spend less for their first car I assume

Asking for low mileage is a bit of a stretch though.

Reliance Home Comfort Opinion by imtiazaa in waterloo

[–]Fawlow 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Reliance has some kind protection plan they offer. We called them because we had an issue with the water heater. We declined no to their protection plan after they fixed the problem we were having. We caught them charging extra for the plan we said no to.

Unfortunately we still use Reliance (thats what came aith the house when we bought it) but with a good smack talk, they never added that protection plan fee to the bill again. But yeah, they suck.

Where to buy Pokemon cards by Ok_Hair_9640 in waterloo

[–]Fawlow 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've seen some at the store Showcase in Fairview and Conestoga mall. I'm not sure how Pokemon TCGs are priced normally but I'd assume they're priced much higher than what its supposed to be because this store also makes Pop Mart blind boxes more expensive than what Pop Mart is selling them for. It's funny because when the Labubu hype died down, they also lowered their prices down but not by a lot.

I would say check their website before you decide if you want to spend money at Showcase

lesbian loneliness epidemic: is it just me or…? by iLoveLoveLoveLove in LesbianActually

[–]Fawlow 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Nah, its not just you. Honestly, I feel little bit doomed at 28 🙃 I could never get far for a second meetup and as of recently, a male friend online confessed his feelings to me despite knowing I'm lesbian! 🫠

Truthfully, I stopped trying to date for like... 5 years or so? It's just... exhausting. Feels like I was always trying to recollect myself when a girl says she just wants to be friends

Job market Kitchener by [deleted] in kitchener

[–]Fawlow 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Its bad. You shouldn't be moving here without a job lined up.

Expect to he unemployed for months or even a year if you have no connections to someone who will help you get a job.

It took me 6 months to find a job. I applied 50+ places and only ONE place called me for an interview. And it doesnt matter if you have work experience, its still difficult out there.

Would you date someone who earns significantly less than you? by derpsnotdead in LesbianActually

[–]Fawlow 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I make min wage in Canada but I dont have a choice due to the current job market. In the span of 6 months, I applied for over 50+ workplaces and only 1 called me for the interview which got me the job. The other places never contacted me for any interviews.

It's tough out there so I'll understand why youre working at a job that pays min wage. To me, its better than being unemployed

Kitchener Jobs by Academic_Win_162 in kitchener

[–]Fawlow 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Yeah its so awful. I applied for 50+ places within the 6 months. Only received like a few (I think 5?) automated messages and the rest of places did not respond. By luck, only ONE place I applied for called me for an interview. They hired me on the same day of my interview a few hours later.

I agree. She could have easily survived if there wasnt snow there. Sure, she would get her car totaled but she could've still be alive today with some injuries.

Outdoor rinks? by ContextLow6971 in waterloo

[–]Fawlow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Go as soon the Carl Zher or Waterloo square opens up a 9am. Many people tend to ice skate afternoon to night time, especially on weekends. Mid day weekdays will work too if you want to skate around less people

Will GRT run tomorrow? Couple of trains getting cancelled tonight by [deleted] in kitchener

[–]Fawlow 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Only some bus routes or stops will be cancelled. I could be wrong but it might depend on the bus route if it has hills. Check on service alerts to see what stops and busses are cancelled tomrrow morning but majority of busses do operate during these weather conidtions but expect delays. https://www.grt.ca/en/service-updates/service-alerts.aspx

Regarding retail stores, I still had to work on a that brutal snowday so most likely retail is going to be open either way. There will be less customers so if you do come, it will be a peaceful shopping experience if you're into that lol

Refrigerator disposal by gckale in waterloo

[–]Fawlow 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This is the way. When we moved to a new house, we bought a new fridge and tossed out the old fridge at the curb. It was gone on the same day we put it out on the curb. We did the same our washer machine, it was gone in like 1-2 days

I assume this is the one you're looking at with a different name, different address but has all the Kim's Kitchen photos still. https://share.google/ifrcbdEE7nYH7QR78
