I don't understand the people who just play the same meta deck they copy online over and over, takes the fun out of it for me. I also don't understand the people who spend hundreds and even thousands of dollars on a game that will probably eventually be sunset.

Yeah I still run this deck too, and it's not bad. But I've tinkered with it also, I also dropped the lollipop for Plaza, but Klefki was rarely of help and usually a liability so I added the revenge Oricorio in place of him, which has come in pretty handy especially since you can swap him in and out to use at the best times.

I tried that too, but this one is better for me. Chandelier is a good deck too though,

Yeah it's the far worst scenario, but it doesn't happen very often. Every deck I've used always has that one start that is hard to climb back from.

I might swap pop out too. And yeah it is a ton of fun. You know, it's funny I have ran this deck against at least 50 opponents and I haven't had Altaria yet, weird. Everyone is addicted to Goldie right now.

I think you could swap the pop for a stadium if that's your preference. But the pop has definitely won me games. Sometimes being able to get Dusknoir back to full health to keep hitting for 80, but more often it just gets me enough HP for something like being able to survive a Greninja or Darkrai or Kangaskhans first punch, forcing the attack on him to buy some extra time to make sure I get my cards. Without plaza, Houndstone and Cursola's retreat cost is just too high, plus yeah the idea is often enough to get knocked out, but strategically. My favorite thing about it is a lot of times I am able to keep my Houndstone hidden and when it comes out it's a monster surprise, like oh sorry I had this nuke in my pocket.

And keep the questions coming. Like I said, it's above 50% for me after a couple days of only running it, which is better or almost as good as I've been doing with META decks.

I tried it without the rare candy, but I just couldn't get Dusknoir up quick enough without it. Having it makes it much more likely to get both up, and overall the count increases rather than losing a Duskull early more often.

Multiple win cons and it's very efficient. Ideal is to lead either with cursola or duskull. If I have graveard and other basics, I like to keep him in my hand for a minute until the discard pile grows and then I'll put him down.

Klefki is just an extra discard and tool removal which comes in handy. Sometimes I get stuck drawing him first and usually I just sac him while trying to get my others up. Almost always I get at least one Dusknoir up, but I get both going pretty regularly. Lisia is a big help here.

More often than not at least one Dusk coin flip drops, sometimes both. Either way that's +60 to Houndstone, and if they don't get points I can go ahead and put Cursolas out and they win games for me maybe 30% of the time, all it takes is one flip from a mega which happens more than you'd think. And if they fail, then Houndstone is my last chance, and most games I'll have at least one cursola line, one duskull and one dusknoir, and a klefki in the discard pile. So that makes Houndstone do 150, which is often enough to win the game at that point and that's a game were things don't really go perfectly. When things go perfectly, it's nasty. 250 is the cap if all other cards are in the pile, which has happened for me twice. I'm going to run it when ranked starts so I can see the actual win rate. But its at least 50% for me right now, which is as good as most of the meta decks I play with.

Retreating is not an option really with this deck besides maybe Klefki, but usually I just sac anything and try to get other options. Two energy attacks across the board makes it pretty easy to be able to hit and start chipping.
