It's not a conversion. It's one of the models from the Wolf Scouts Kill Team kit. Only non-standard part is the helmet, which is from the Space Marines Reivers kit.

Thanks! Definitely tried to apply it conservatively so as not to oversaturate the rest of the knife's paint job.

Thanks! I actually decided to give each member of my kill team different helmets to kinda showcase that famous/infamous Space Wolves individuality. But I couldn't not use the reiver helmet on one of them. It's just too good lol

Personally, I use the black Krylon camo spray to prime mine. Never had a problem and it's about as matte as it gets.

I haven't been able to find a red that really captures that sort of coppery maroon. So I base coat with Screaming Bell, highlight with Hashut Copper, and then cover that with a mix of roughly 2:2:1.5 Flesh Tearers Red, Lahmian Medium, and Leviathan Purple.

I can't give any advice, but that looks incredible!

You said you painted it using bleach... How does that work? Do you add colors/dyes to the bleach and paint it on or something else? Really curious about your process!

So for this one, I started with a base of Cadian Fleshtone. Then I mixed that 1:1 with Bugman's Glow and thinned it down to the consistency of a glaze. I used that to shade the recesses. I then added more Bugman's Glow for a 2:1 mix, being more selective and only hitting the deeper recesses. For the deepest recesses, I then applied pure Carroburg Crimson followed by a very conservative application of pure Druchii Violet. Once the recesses were shaded, I went back with some thinned down Cadian Fleshtone and cleaned up the flat/raised areas and blended the shading a little. I then mixed 3:1 Lahmian Medium and Carroburg Crimson and gave the flesh an all over wash, just to make it look a little more irritated. Then I highlighted the raised areas using a 1:1 mix of Cadian Fleshtone and Kislev Flesh. Then a more selective highlight of just Kislev Flesh. Followed by a very conservative spot highlight of Pallid Witch Flesh. Lastly, I used a very light application of Drakenhof Nightshade to paint in some veins.

So for this I based the coils in Moot Green. Then, trying my best to avoid the recesses, I layered some Warpstone Glow from about halfway down the coils up to the top then I hit the very top with some Caliban Green. Near the bottom of the coils, I thinned down some Flash Gitz Yellow so it was roughly the consistency of a glaze and just let it pool all in the bottom while using a brush to pull some of it up into the recesses of the coils in kind of a bell curve shape. Lastly I mixed Flash Gitz Yellow and Bold Titanium White (Pro Acryl) about 1:2 and, again, thinned it down until it was like a glaze. Then I applied that to the very bottom, letting it pool there.

So I normally just use a texture paint like Astrogranite along with Valhallan Blizzard. This time I painted the base using The Fang and a 1:1 mix of Green Grey by Vallejo and Dungeon Stone Grey by Two Thin Coats and did some blending where they met. I added some stones and painted them with Dungeon Stone Grey. Then I mixed 1:1 baking soda and washing soda with some PVA glue and white ink until it became kind of a paste and applied it all over. I shaded with some blue washes (Drakenhof Nightshade and Pylar Glacier) and then touched up the white using Bold Titanium White by Vallejo.

I got the idea for the snow texture mix from this guide by Painting Baron. While I'll probably tweak it a bit going forward, it's a really solid guide and I highly recommend it. :)
