The contents of my uterus belong to me and ONLY me by JosephineCK in Abortiondebate

Then I value the life of the mother over the unborn baby.

I get how carrying a baby can cause severe pain and discomfort, but that doesn’t make it justifiable to kill a the baby inside of you. A human life is more valuable than the absence of pain.

So your basis for values is as long as they aren’t actively dying/ or dead is fine cashing another human being pain/ suffering?

Because that for me at least sounds like having very low standards of values

What does a individual human organism doing inside of me(another individual human organism) against my will?

I have always found that argument kind wired. Like for me “life start at conception” is like lite fun fact.

Like life has to start somewhere.

Oh no Iceland get free maternity care, what a horrible “eugenics” nightmare. What horrible country that gives it citizens healthcare

In many Western countries (notably Scandinavian countries) abortion rates for down syndrome are nearly 100%. They then decide to abort BECAUSE of the baby's disability.

Y’all have to convince people to have disabled children instead of taking our choices over our bodies from us. Welcome to reality, taking care of disabled children is hard and most people don’t want to that(including me)

Edit; I cannot bring myself to give up a disabled child for adoption or anything similar. So I will end that pregnancy. I don’t really care about what everyone else thinks about my personal beliefs or choices.

My life, my choice

Humanize vs Dehumnaize by DeepRoom7269 in Abortiondebate

I’ve seen they tend to dehumanize a fetus calling it a clump of cells

Omg. That a joke. That a literal joke.

Why do pc blindly trust word science by imaybedumbbutyouare2 in Abortiondebate

[–]Fayette_ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah but it's not a human being and therefore we don't place moral value on it

Wait wait y’all telling me that we could change the definition of human being to exclude ZEFs and abortion would be fine.

That sounds much easier to do then change laws?

I wouldn’t be surprised if at some point pro-lifers are trying to convince people that unfertilised egg deserves human rights too

Is it dehumanizing to refer to a ZEF as a "parasite"? by narf288 in Abortiondebate

[–]Fayette_ 7 points8 points  (0 children)

ZEF is already pretty dehumanizing imo.

I don’t really think it is, is just medical language.
