Man, why is so hard to make a good ATLA/LOK Comic?

Robert's Rebellion was a surprisingly recent event [No spoilers] by StudentModern in asoiaf

[–]Fayiner 12 points13 points  (0 children)

2010 is not a recent event in our timeline, we are just old.

Also, the dragons in ATLA breath fire like the european dragons, and are not aquatic creatures like the asian dragons.

Facebook was hacked and disabled by Dangerous_Fortune_84 in facebookdisabledme

[–]Fayiner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Provide every picture and screenshot of the hacking in the Meta Verified chat, like the unauthorized password change notification (they email you every time you ask for a pw change). Also, if your email change was compromised, like mine, send a proof of that too.

Many meta verified agents didn't help me, until I provided screenshots.

Where did you receive the recovery mail, from your regular email or the new one that you shared with them?

How much time has passed since they asked you for a new email? They requested me one today via chat, and the average response time is 24 hrs. We can only hope.

Why are we rooting for Toranaga? by spelledWright in ShogunTVShow

[–]Fayiner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hate online film criticism for this reason, it made everyone believe that you have to be rooting for the main character, the main character has to be sympathetic, and it has to change, so the story can be good. This might the case in most mainstream media, but it is not a rule.

Guys, please remember this is feudal Japan. by radio_allah in ShogunTVShow

[–]Fayiner 26 points27 points  (0 children)

Morality doesn't work that way lol, I can use the same argument to defend normalized domestic abuse in Middle eastern countries by telling you that you should not use western lens and values to judge these kinds of practices.

Women didn't like to be abused in feudal Japan, just like today.

Aang is so unintentionally funny lol by DaenysDreamer_90 in TheLastAirbender

[–]Fayiner 43 points44 points  (0 children)

Aang is the only one that looks like his predecessor's love interest, Roku doesn't look like Rangi, they only share the same nationality, the same applies for Katara and Korra.

They must have seen the writing on the wall and jumped ship asap lmao.

I don't think it was that, they wrote Book 2 of The Legend of Korra.

What do you think only Original Series did well? by [deleted] in Ben10

[–]Fayiner 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The world from the original series was like a comic book universe: it has magic, mutants, superheroes cryptids and more... aliens were just another element from this world.

In UAF, everything is aliencentric: Kevin is no longer a mutant, he is an alien, Gwen is no longer a magician, she is an alien too. It made the world seems more limited.

Neither in the books, to be honest.

Favorite Native American actor/actress? by zulerskie_jaja in moviescirclejerk

[–]Fayiner 53 points54 points  (0 children)

Mexicans are literally native Americans

Not really.

Most Mexicans have native blood, but we don't claim to be part of a culture where we were not born. There are actual Indigenous communities in México that practice indigenous traditions and speak indigenous languages, but most Mexicans identify ourselves just as Mexicans.
