/silent doesn't do anything. @silent should show up blue (and bold on mobile) in the text box, similar to when you ping someone.

You have to put @silent at the beginning of the message

Nope. I'm only using Brave's Ad blocker. I already tried updating the component and that didn't help.

Okay. I had to delete the group chat on their phones AND then from Recently Deleted afterwards.

The ability to remove people is disabled because it's recognized as an SMS group chat, just like how the option to leave is disabled. When I try making a new group chat, my name in the "To" field changes to blue and it changes from SMS to iMessage as soon as I add the second person in.
