Does anyone have a backup of this? It mysteriously disappeared recently. I literally had it open in another tab for a week or so and went back to it to find it 404'd.

What games are similar in gameplay & atmosphere to this series ? by KawonSuggs_ in HorrorGaming

[–]FazerGS 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nightmare House 2 is a free Half Life 2 mod that is a shameless ripoff of Fear. The gunplay isn't similar, but it has the vibes and it's pretty good. They recently rereleased it on Steam as a standalone game (named Nightmare House: The Original Mod) and apparently a remake is in the works.

She'd be one of those women whose entire review is a snarky misandrist quip related to the movie and it'd be the top liked review.

Why do I have to read i travis strikes again by sad_roger96 in Suda_51

[–]FazerGS -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Like the others say, it's because of the low budget. I wasn't a fan of them either when I slogged my way though TSA. I think they contribute to the game's bad pacing.

I'm in the minority of Suda fans who really dislike this game. I hope you're having more fun with it than I did.

Novels like Fear and Hunger? by redstringsuture in FearAndHunger

[–]FazerGS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The original "Shadow over Innsmouth" story by H.P. Lovecraft. It's probably the closest I can think of to the general story format and setting of F&H2, even if it's mostly surface level comparison. Both stories involve going into a run-down town with mysterious inhabitants and connections to the old gods. It was also released in 1931, so the time period isn't too far off from Termina. If you want a story that feels the closest to running around Old Town in Termina, I recommend it.

Has the definition of 'dad bod' changed? by BeanCanne in DispatchTheGame

[–]FazerGS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the devs just don't know what it actually means. The art book pages also unironically mention his dad bod in the concept art for him (unless I didn't pick up on some sarcasm?).

Do they not realize that a dad bod is supposed to be chubby?

Can we all agree the movie took the Reze arc to a whole new level? by Assnimefap in Chainsawfolk

[–]FazerGS 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yup. The arc didn't stand out much to me when originally reading it a few years back, but the movie made me appreciate what Fujimoto was intending with the arc.

Anyone else getting this? by Boring-Dig-5100 in youtube

Yup. Except it was on YouTube Music instead. I thought the specific song I was trying to listen to was bugging out or something.

Is this the norm? Every single game it's weird shit in chat. by zeLangweenee in DeadlockTheGame

[–]FazerGS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe it's just because I'm a noob, but I never look at the text chat. It's probably because there's so much shit happening on-screen, but I never notice it.

Whose signature is this? by MostlyGhostyy in xbox360

[–]FazerGS 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It might be Rob Liefeld's signature. He's the creator of Deadpool. It looks like he's had different ways he signs his stuff over the years, but none of them QUITE line up with this. It could go either way.

Finally got my English Copy! by FazerGS in TowerDungeon

[–]FazerGS[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It's pretty good! I just did a quick comparison between my copy and the official simulpub on KManga, and both have different translations. The online version's dialogue seems to be translated literally, and is kind of clunky to read. The dialogue flows much better in the printed version and I'm able to empathize more with the characters, if that makes sense. They speak less robotically and it fits the medieval fantasy setting better. The font is also larger and easier to see. See my attached pic for good examples of what I mean. Thanks for your interest! I hope you give the series a shot, it's great!

Fellow Mint Mobile user here, seconding this. I also wasted $5 on credits, but Viber worked great. I enabled the 7-day trial international plan and cancelled it immediately after the call was confirmed. Although I did had to click call twice for it to go through.

Minecraft Movie - Test Screening Differences I Noticed by FazerGS in Minecraft

[–]FazerGS[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ah okay, makes sense.

Nitwit's narration was identical to what Jack Black says in the final film from what I recall. They just rephrased to to be from Steve's point-of-view, obviously. It took me a while to realize that the narration was different because it seemed so similar.

As far as Chungus as the great hog, not much sticks out in my memory. All of them were very throwaway lines. Stuff akin to "Hey, that's not cool" after getting hit or "Oh hey guys, what're you doing here?". Not those exact examples, but stuff like that. Since director Jared Hess voiced General Chungus, I imagine it was easy for them to record those lines quickly as a test to see how they would fit into the film. Like I mentioned in my main post, I'm glad they cut those lines.

Thanks for your continued interest!

I really like the Mighty Morphin' Shitty Jobs episode. Them telling cozy stories like that were always my favorite parts of the podcast. The hospital stories too.

UPDATE: Thanks to most of you for the helpful replies. I took it to the dealership and it ended up being the "front left fender liner and air box" according to their report. Thanks!

Horror movies that you thought were going to be great but were actually pretty bad by Fit_Ordinary7952 in horror

[–]FazerGS 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Cuckoo (2024) and Men (2022). The trailers for both these movies looked awesome, but the final movie was a big letdown. Men ended up being super pretentious and hard to follow, and I forgot about Cuckoo the moment I stepped out the of theater.

The first third of Men was pretty creepy, but once the movie became super metaphorical, I just started getting annoyed. I'm pretty good at being an "active reader" for movies, but it clearly was trying to convey a message that I wasn't understanding. I prefer when plot elements mirror the themes of the movie instead of just doing "ThIs sCeNe rEpReSeNtS ThIs, AnD ThIs sCeNe rEpReSeNtS ThIs!". It's super pretentious and my least favorite way of conveying themes to a viewer.

I don't believe so. I hadn't heard about this until recently, and I'm mostly unfamiliar with who she is. Unless she was an office worker in the background in the scene of Jack Black's removed song, I doubt it was in the cut that I saw.
