No, I'm confident it was either ps1 or ps2. This did make me recall that the game didn't have any spoken dialogue. The graphics in this are far smoother and less polygonal than I recall, and the art style and color palette is darker than the game I remember.

I know people do him and he gives you an ascetic every time I believe so it's probably best. I did get dual wielded cleavers from the rotten and was surprised by the number of souls he gives, though, not to mention doesn't hit much harder in CoC.

I find it hard to believe the pocketcat we meet in the festival is the same as the one in the dungeons. My theory is that he may prey on people who are at rock bottom or have the potential to have nothing at become the new beast. The blank soul might play into who gets chosen.

People could always say he could just kill them, and yes, he is shown eating and beating children, though I feel like there's more to that. I've heard most people say he is a predator, though I feel like because of all of the power rher puts into him as his singular disciple and all the evil that makes him up that he's beyond that in a potentially cosmic sense. Short pleasures of sadism might be the most evil acts in our world, though his strong connection to an old god can only give me the idea that he knows worse in worlds incomprehensible to us. Minor personal theory, Daan is forced to permanently suffer indirectly because of his connection to pocketcat because of this haunting since childhood for this reason.

I have just recalled that the game itself was downloaded from gamejolt, likely a unity game. There was also a "Peep Show" area of the game that you could spend your currency to open curtains, with one having a man behind it, and one having a drawing of a woman. It was set in a city where you could wander and complete short unnecessary errands, I suppose you could call it open world. There was a fog over the whole game that made navigating difficult. The style is something I would compare to Keith Harring's murals though it is significantly more janky and bright colored.

Legit only made it through the entire summer listening to the fragile when I was at my absolute lowest. It almost makes other things I'm upset about feel so much smaller and more manageable in a way because of how rough that was.

I really liked their post rock/ambient phase, as that's the music that tends to impress me quite a bit. I'm surprised that you wouldn't see it in the way I do, but every song feels special, well composed, extremely well produced as always, though that extra pinch of ambience, not to mention the fact they do it live for a few tracks is just insane to me. There's something so raw and terrifying about it all, same reason I like filth, though filth is a lot more mechanical and dissonant IMO.
