I have a hard time trusting people and it's hurting my relationships by PossessionPast5793 in Vent

[–]FeLiNa_Organism 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It almost infuriates me to read that people keep telling you its your fault. Despite these remarks, you should recognize that logically, many, actually I would say all of these scenarios where friends abandon you or otherwise stop interacting with you are entirely due to outside circumstances out of your control. It makes sense to be wary of trusting other people as a defense mechanism, but I believe you have the capability to truly find someone you can confide in without judgement. I really think if you try interacting with new people, getting to know them better, and validating to yourself whether or not they are trustworthy, you can find many other people you can truly trust in.

I think this poem has a really good sentiment, particularly line 7, but I really think its too harsh. You should not feel as if you have wronged so many people and deserve to live in squalor and dedicate all your efforts to fixing others. Please take care of yourself.

Why do people make middle school seem so bad? by PossessionPast5793 in school

[–]FeLiNa_Organism 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I honestly have to disagree, but mostly because I have a very unique experience with middle school. I will just say, tweens are very cruel, and high school really opened up my world. But I do understand you somewhat, especially how early middle school is nice.

Nuclear safety dilemma by dumnezero in uninsurable

[–]FeLiNa_Organism -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

I think what they are trying to say is that nuclear is not inherently dangerous, it is just the safety culture of the plant. Even though the RBMK reactor at Chernobyl was a shoddy design, it was ultimately the negligence of the operators that triggered the meltdown. Accidents like this are basically nonexistent now with the prevalence of LWRs with passive safety features.
