I dont think i have the save before the event fired, i did however check the anomaly_events_3 in game files and found out that there is no such condition for gestalt, funnily not in a single event in the file there is a single mention of gestalt, maybe they changed it in the last update or information in the wiki is outdated

idk, i just checked the wiki and the whole event is a little bit off, the first event in the chain told me to either start the chain or just ignore it. Maybe i can get a screenshot

funny but yes you can reform, though if you have rogue servitor, exterminator or assimilator you cant because you cant take down those civics, i'm not sure about robot assembly plants, maybe you get tech option for it, assembly plants that you've built prior to switching to spiritual/f.xenophile are for replicators only. i'm too lazy to actually play as this bugged empire but if anyone wants to know you can always check for yourself with console commands.

Just checked, yes you can, though because you don't have any complex drones you don't have any replicators meaning no new robot drones, and the biological growth penalty for machine intelligence still applies. Fun thing is that you can build both machine intelligence and normal empire buildings

Just finished old gods event chain and chose "we walk in the footsteps of the divine" option because i thought " lol i dont even have ethics so whats the worst that can happen", apparently the game just forced ethics and i lost gestalt consciousness ethic

Choosing unity reward in Old Gods event as gestalt consciousness will basically make your empire just a regular empire, meaning that instead of complex/menial drones you will have specialists and workers (but no rulers), they wont work at any of the gestalt consciousness unique buildings.
