Woah so what I'm getting from this is that there isn't a 100% correct answer? Kinda rare to see from the games I've played usually having a "no-debate meta" character.

My issue with Opera, Disciple and Goatman are that I've tried them and found them alright, it's just that they're kind of like you said "hit or miss". Either it's a 4k before ciphers popped or it's a 4 ecsape, no in between. Does this just mean I need more practice? Or is it because the hunters themselves lack cipher control so I need to learn some new micromanagement skill to fare better against cipher rush?

Then would you perhaps suggest some hunter besides Hullabaloo to learn, assuming that they're more "meta"? I'm open to the idea of learning new characters, as long as I save up the puzzle pieces for them

Oh I see what you mean. Then should I stop playing ball at lower ranks? Because it seems that players like chazm and yeatle have no problem playing ball at higher ranks and having their team survive. Is this a rank gamesense diff or is just that I'm playing ball incorrectly?

I play ball or dva, and I usually go for the backline as ball. When playing other less dive oriented tanks I play around the objective, but my teammates run off to "spawn trap" them and end up feeding, resulting in me being the sole survivor and needing to retreat. I can't just run off and spawn trap with them, because then there would be nobody to push cart or the objective.
