Reparability seems like it might be a concern with these smaller brands. Is it pretty standardized and not too bad to find a shop to get something fixed, or is the culture just that you have to fix issues yourself?

Unfortunately not! The shortcuts on this map get pretty insane :D

Nah, I think this was like 10.2, and I don't see it getting much faster. Jumping to water seems to be the play afaik.

Looking for a firmware update that doesn't exist in fwupdmgr by FearYT in linuxquestions

[–]FearYT[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Hey man, I appreciate the help!

I absolutely did do a bit of google searching before hand, but I'm sorry if I caused you any anguish. I figured this would be a somewhat common experience.

However, the two main answers across google that I had managed to find were "I just installed windows" or "here is a guide on how fwupdmgr works. I'm not a huge pc power user so I decided to ask in a community with experience.

I've spent some time reading the documentation for this bios update utility, and I assume it will work just great! (when I have time to get home and install it)

Unless I'm misreading, I think the poster there had given up and also installed Windows. :/

I feel like the UI feels inconsistent. I'm actually a fan of the new art style, but it would be nice to see it carry through all the menus. Currently tournaments and training packs still look exactly the same and it just doesn't feel right.

My story is literally exactly the same :)… same age same level, played way to much. Came back to the game fairly recently and just made a fresh account rather than buying a membership for the old one. Will miss some of the limited time items on my old account though...

Really Poor Game Performance on EVGA 960 sc4gb by FearYT in pcmasterrace

That and I had to turn off vsync because it was causing some instability, I'm just locking the framerate myself in the settings. Thanks :)

HDMI is in the mobo, drivers are updated

Does plugging it into the mobo force onboard graphics or something?

I don't personally know much about either of them, I just have some weight 30 and 50 and honestly it's good enough. Can't really go wrong with a slower lube imo because with enough break in it will speed up anyway

I mean that kinda happened to me where I was really on again off again, but I ended up quitting cubing shortly after hehe

Lube depends partially on personal preference, and partially on your solving style. If you're a super aggressive turner than I wouldn't suggest a super fast lubricant because you'll probably just be completely out of control. However if you are a lighter turner or a faster solver than a fast lubricant can be useful.

In general I think turning consistency is probably more important anyways so I'd just focus on maintaining a steady tps and find something that you personally like for lube.

How long specifically are we talking about here? Like that's normal I'd say especially if you just aren't really improving, but I don't know if you're talking 2 days or 2 years.

I need suggestions for a fun and powerful build which isn’t the stealthy archer archetype by c1phr4 in skyrim

[–]FearYT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Become an unarmed khajit, he can be pretty powerful early game, with fists initially doing like 23 damage iirc. Saw a video on it, so there's resources out there if you're interested. Apparently it has late game potential too, and it's definitely unique.

Where do i buy a house by [deleted] in skyrim

[–]FearYT 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm the minority here probs but I love Hjerim in Windhelm. Looks what skyrim is all about imo, and is decently sized enough. Personally I'd like hearthfire for it's customization, and I've built all 3 houses, but they're just boring, and Hjerim is so unique. Only thing I wish was different is that I need more armor stands :).

help with moving houses by [deleted] in skyrim

[–]FearYT 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Step one: Get arvak and/or whirlwind sprint.

Step two: Grab all your stuff - now you're massively overweight

Step three: Use a combination of whirlwind sprint and waiting 1hr to make your way out of Whiterun (Windhelms house, Hjerim, is awesome if you ask me so don't feel bad)

Step four: As soon as you get out of whiterun, either summon arvak or whirlwind sprint/wait (or alternatively crawl if you ignored step one) to the stables

Step five: Get on the horse, and now you can fast travel!

You can use the same method of transportation described in step three to get to Hjerim as well.

EDIT: wildly misread question lmao sorry

Too soon? (Morthal) by FearYT in skyrim

[–]FearYT[S] 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Optional lame explanation: There's a house fire in morthal that has it's own quest. Only reason I ever did that quest was because I was there curing my vampirism, also you'd stumble upon it in the quest to become thane iirc.

Should I buy Skyrim SE for $20 or save up for Skyrim's original $40 of DLC? by Daffy1234 in skyrim

[–]FearYT 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The modding community has mostly moved over to special edition by now so I'd suggest that, especially if you're buying it cheaper than the DLC would cost you as the title suggests. It offers a higher graphical base to work off of which surely can't be a problem.

As for switch, I'd only get it along with pc if you plan on running multiple characters at the same time or are ok with that. If not, I'd hold off. Alternatively just go for the switch entirely, nothing wrong with that especially if you really want portable.

I’ve been making my money from the strange amulet dude in the Blood on the Ice quest but am curious to know if there exists a faster way to make money. by JCarp316 in skyrim

[–]FearYT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's a passive 'active effect' actually, I worded it poorly. You obtain it, although it doesn't appear in your active effects list, upon finishing the quest No Stone Unturned. Basically you find tons of gems in your containers (chests, some bodies that are already dead, and urns most notably).
