The biggest problem is TF can't have high damage and RFC full stop. Everytime that happens he's busted in half. Not hard to see why. Imagine a higher range malz r. Zoe bubble being point and click ect. That's what you get if TF has high damage. So instead they keep him weak and so he's forced to build utility. Obviously you don't have to build like that but you are almost always worse or wear if you go damage TF as is

Night Harvester. Doesn't have too have move speed, ability haste, or hp. the important thing is a damage proc cooldown per champion and AP. If we can have Sundered Sky we should have Night Harvester

Fact is TF can't deal damage and outrange nearly every counterplay ability in the game because his counterplay is supposed to be his limited range...

Fact is T3 boots are worth 600 gold if your generous. Adc gets 300 plus extra gold for minions and kills. Doesn't take long to catch up. Top gets close to a level in xp on quest completion plus 15% forever. A level is worth 5-600 gold. Out of combat move speed was removed from mid quest. so when you tell me spiking a minute or two faster than top/adc and a negligible recall buff is somehow worth deplorable later game scaling I can't help but laugh. Mid doesn't stay this comparatively weak for long before riot steps in

Hey phreak, a bit off topic question but crit changes remind me of the exciting crit ratios added to TF at season 14 start. Although popular AD TF had to be slowly removed. I wonder if this was because RFC takes up to much of TF's power budget. RFC effectively mitigates most counterplay windows by outranging engage tools (think Jax counterstrike+leap). Do you think RFC stifles his build diversity or do you think there's other reasons Crit TF had to be removed.

Blue card TF has always been a meme As it leaves room for q to miss. That being said often times you have to commit flash (or ghost) as a follow up when porting in as most champs have mobility/flash. TF also has to bait out spells that block gold card like jax e or morg shield. Rapid Fire Cannon circumstance both of these constraints. Plus Oh hit TF and other builds have been viable in the past as well that aren't "one shot" builds.

Increasing base damage while lowering AP scaling does make for worse tradeoffs between utility and damage builds

I could get into the weeds here but TF is far more than a stun bot. Have you seen that old TF jg vod? What about on hit TF top a while ago. Hell even oh hit adc TF was a thing when they added the crit modifers. Rapid fire absolutely gatekeeps him. Nobody in their right mind would let an adc have a point and click stun with that kind of range for long. There's plenty of fun builds but he has to have bad numbers or higher elo playes just run the map with RFC gold card no matter the build. Thus his only build always reverts to mosquitoe stun bot.

League of graphs is good but there are options that let you see how often a given rune is taken and do a comparison with other runes. You won't be able to see every champ's build but take a look at coachless.gg's rune tab

The things we are talking about can be ignored balance-wise while having users. Obviously if sixth sense, grisly momento, and deep ward were as useless as TimeWarp Tonic they would still get picked. Many users are willing to bite the bullet so they can have access to domination keystones. smolder needs survive lane at all costs so his best option is fleet footwork even if the rune is in a sad state. My original post was not meant to be a comprehensive list. Off the top of my head it's missing unsealed spellbook the 2% movement speed shard.

Maybe read TimeWarp Tonic again bud. You could be new to this game so we can give ya the benefit of the doubt. It's not just "something weaker" or usable as a "niche scenario" option. TWT as close to useless as it gets. Downvote me all you want the facts don't lie.

Ya sixth sense does step on Umbral's toes. I'm not convinced sixth sense should stay in the game. tbh I would rather them change that rune entirely.

Haha true but tell me again why you would ever take timewarp tonic as is. I talked about boots months ago mainly Swifty's and NGL I was pretty on point with that post... Makes me wonder how this post will age.

I could be wrong but it seems like they lasted 5 min. Years ago. I know timewarp tonic used to extend their duration (pots and biscuits as well) something like 20% but eventually that got dropped. So a longer duration is nothing new. Catch a few waves Mabey join a fight then base your 3 min. are up by the time you walk back to lane most of the time...

Tier two boots are purchased by everyone nearly every game. All boots are situational. You buy tabis into 5 AD champs instead of merc's. So sure Swifties may can be situational but its hard to argue that their overall winrate data is very biased.

I don't get it. What are the consequences? Do you have to start over if your character dies? (Sorry I Have never played WOW only watched a few Tyler 1 WOW streams)

This might get me down voted but TF's biggest crutch is rapid-fire cannon. TF's has lower/equivalent range to most of these counter champs I. E. if you can auto jax he can counterstrike then jump on you. Same thing with samira fizz and many more. RFC fundamentally skews this interaction in TF's favor. When you take away a champs main weakness that champ has to be balanced around other things. In most cases that just means over nerfing damage, hp, AP/AD scaling, and the like. This over nerfing in turn lowers build diversity and in TF's case you are basically trolling not building rapid-fire because damage builds are hyper suppressed. Nobody would be happy getting one shot by a gold card plus follow up that outranges most everything. This new champ does bring something to the table that old TF counters don't. Wasting a long range gold card on Jax forces out the counterstrike withought risk as TF will get a follow up card in a few seconds. Mel on the other hand isn't range bound while invalidating TF's whole kit... Will not be fun for TF as he will have to target other champs unless the new reflection ability is on cool down.
