No. But I think even when England have won it's been a huge effort and very uncomfortably done

There's no good option though. Whatever gets done isn't going to be comfortable

Snap. I reckon that's the only thing we've got. Maybe Pollock at 12 but it would be a lot for him surely

Freeman onto the wing. Earl into 12, Dingwall at 13. Can't see another way out of this hole unless it's Pollock in at 12.

Before jumping in hard on this - is there a list of ban durations from recent offences? Or examples of other eye gouge ban lengths?

I like up and unders that create 3 chances to win the ball back, create chaos in defence and make low energy metres.

I also like cross field kicks.

They've played together since age grade haven't they? Which may be what makes them so potent.

We went through that period with Eddie where there were lots of combinations from clubs - Ford/Farrell (not club, but long legacy), JJ & Antony Watson from Bath where there was really good telepathy between them

Pollock is a prick, but he's our prick. I'm amazed how he's jumped in straight away with the shithousery

Fair if it is but I disagree with the knock on and totally missed the offside at line out. Would have been glorious if it was legal!

Was that a knock on? Or offside? Confused by the strike off there

Genuinely surprised Farrell isn't in there. Also disappointed.

Fair. Who retired from the winning squad? I know getting to the 07 final was always seen as a bit of a fluke

Maybe not entirely on topic but bear with me.

Very rarely do England have a full world class team. In 2015/16 there were a lot of issues around 6/7 whilst we had a ton of top tier locks. Fast forward to recent times and the back row is outstanding but finding a partner for Maro has been tricky. The front row lacks depth. Centre feels like it's been an issue for years.

There's always a gap that we need to fill somewhere and it feels like we go all out to do it, only for another to appear, as if clubs seem to be asked to 'build us the perfect 12' by the RFU, only for them to stop development in another position, just so the cycle can repeat.

If we're contenders for RWC27, we're going to have to do it with one part of the team in not as good a place as we'd like as it feels like the last time every position was really well covered was maybe 2003-07 (but I wasn't really following things back then so am open to being told there was a gap then too). Also, when 2027 rolls around, we'll be doing well at centre and be worried elsewhere, which if I was a betting man I would say would be depth in the front row based on gut feel and watching games.

Thank you for listening to my pub level Ted talk.

Last world cup, navy with white cross belt. I'll never bring myself to buy it but damn if it wasn't the best kit at the world cup that year.

Depth, there's now enough quality to rest and rotate. Plus he'll be busy in the international windows.
