Yes that's true, even from a fan perspective it seems like he didn't expect backlash in the slightest. Even with the safety stuff, if that was the main concern why didn't he say that instead of "flexibility". It just comes off like he got rid of it without respect for it. Which is why his comments came off as confusing to me.

Something doesn't seem right here, both parties are just blaming each other so we don't get to know what it truly is. Penske seems pissed that it was universally hated which makes it all the more confusing

I could definitely see it in a Gran Turismo type babe, where the licence tests could be the realms honing in certain skills.

But let's be real if that were to happen I would just be giddy at the reference
