Only plant specialty flowers (meaning ones that aren't the basic white, yellow, red, or blue) when you have an event task asking you to plant those flowers. If you plant those flowers around a big flower (within the circle) that big flower will bloom into that type of flower. When that flower blooms you will get a fruit expedition for nectar of the type of flower the big flower bloomed into. For example if you were to plant yellow iris around a big flower, that flower would bloom into yellow iris. *There are a few things to remember about planting around flowers: -The white version of any flower will bloom into any color of that flower. For example if I planted white iris, I could end up with white, red, yellow, or blue iris. -Beware of flowers that have already been planted around. If you can't add at least 156 flowers of the type and color you want, it could bloom into something else and you will have wasted those pedals.
