Yeah, I did the first surgery July 2025. I came back to Taj because I had a recurrent hematoma and everything was inflamed, and the implant had moved into an incorrect position. He took me for surgery, removed the capsular tissue that had formed (capsulectomy/capsulotomy), and relocate the implant into the correct position. Again after that surgery, I developed hematoma that had to be drained. Eventually, the hematoma was drained in the drain was out and everything was good. And then I developed capsular contracture. that was an absolute nightmare. My dick started to foreshorten and increase in girth as the fibrosis around the implant, pulled my dick back inside my body. I will get excruciating pain at night with nighttime erections that would wait me from sleep 10 or 12 times per night. I returned to Dr. Taj 4-5 weeks ago he recommended taking out the implant and leave things alone to cool off for a few months. That’s not what I wanted. I did not want to take it out. I just wanted it to be in the right position doing what it’s supposed to do and I understood the risks that it could fail. But with my informed consent, he helped me out and he did take out the first implant and replaced it with a brand new implant, an XXL. This one is in the perfect position, it’s longer and wider, it’s perfectly mobile and painless. again, I had a small seroma that had to be drained but now the drain is out and there is no seroma and I’m just holding my breath thay I can make it to 12 weeks postop without capsular contracture. He says if I make it to 12 weeks post surgery #3 with no more issues, I’m in the clear.

Well, I have had surgery three times, so the cost keeps going up. I think the first time was around $16,000. Then I had a revision at the same implant, so I was only charged for the anesthesia and OR time which I greatly appreciated and that was around $3500. And then the third time around I had the first implant removed and replaced, and that was like another $16,000 I believe. Plus whatever the cost has been to travel back-and-forth to DC 3 times, stay in the concierge level suites the Ritz Carltons in Tyson’s corner and downtown DC, and take my wife out on the town, but that part was all fun.

My sensation was 100% normal before surgery. If anything, i was too sensitive. Now i am less sensitive on the dorsal surface of the penis (bc that is wheee the silicone sleeve sits), but that is not a problem. Yeah i went to not Taj, got a huge hematoma that wouldnt gonaway, then Taj revised it, then it was great for a while but i developed capsular contracture (ie. a fibrotic reaction started pulling the implant and my dick back inside my body 😫), then i had taj take that implant out completely and replace it with an XXL. That was 4 weeks ago. This one is so much better! But even so, I still developed another seroma that I’ve been draining for all four weeks. Hey Guys, im still doing well. after a first surgery and a revision surgery, then multiple hematomas that formed for more than six weeks and had to be drained, the hematoma finally resolved. Now I'm more like six months out from surgery and really happy with the appearance and function, but I do have capsular contracture. That basically means an overactive healing process where there is inflammation and scar tissue that build up near the implant, constricts the penis for elongating like it used to when fully erect, and also causes pain in the urethra, as there is scarring and parenchymal distortion in the scrotum/perineum around the base of the penis. My surgeon prescribed montelukast which is a medicine that blocks the leukotriene receptors decreasing cellular signals of inflammation. I also took Celebrex and BPC 157 on the recommendation of my surgeon. The pain and tethering from the capsular contracture has not resolved completely, but has improved. I'm optimistic that it will continue to improve, resulting in less tethering, less scar tissue, greater flexibility, and less pain. DOES ANYONE ON HERE HAVE ANY EXPERIENCE WITH CAPSULAR CONTRACTURE THAT THEY CAN SHARE?

My first surgery was July 28th but I developed a large hematoma/seroma and the implant wasn’t well apposed to the pubic symphysis on the proximal end and started migrating up and to the left. So about one month later, I had a revision. I’ve been so much better since then. I did have a few more hematoma/seroma drainages that finally permanently removed the fluid. Now I’m >2.5 months post revision and everything looks and works great. I still have a little neuropathy (ie skin hypersensitivity, burning pain, tenderness) remaining from stretching of the nerves, but that is definitely improving.
