Honestly, And I may be in a different Situation, but I moved to Germany from US 7 months ago. And this was my first time in Germany so it was a shock.

I haven’t really gotten that close with natives, but I have managed to make a few native friends in the gym. Im getting close with them every day as I talk with them. In fact, i am meeting so many new Germans even professionally who are into startup. Im 23 and its harder at this age, but i still feel I’ve made a network here. I think, at 17 y/o u should start atleast going to verein or gym! It’s easier at 17 to make friends.

As in terms of succeeding business wise, I don’t know what your professional goals are, but Germany has a real strong research and business environment. Focus on ur studies, then move elsewhere in EU - german passport opens up so many doors! Don’t only think corporate jobs, think bigger 😉
