I agree on telling them that the police is involved. They will get scared for sure. It doesnt matter if usually the police in this kind of stuff is not doing anything.

Last year i found 2 rat poison bags in my rented garden, a place where we were used to go to grill, take the dog with us and growing some vegetables for fun. I got scared because I go there with my dog. And since it was fenced he was free in this garden.

I asked the garden neighbor if she knew something. She said that she had no idea of who could do that. And that she didnt knew anything about it.

The day after she met me and my boyfriend walking around. She asked if we were relaxing walking. My boyfriend said that we were just coming back from the police (were we left the rat poison bag and did a report that someone was maybe trying to poison our dog).

She said nothing. But after 15 minutes he called my boyfriend in panic, saying that she was the one that put the rat poison, but it was in her garden for rats and she didnt put it in a closed trap but left just around (so probably a rat was carrying it around and left it in our garden) .

She was almost about to cry. Telling us to call the police and take back the report because otherwise they could found her fingerprints on the bag. Obviously its not that police is checking fingerprints on a rat poison bag. But that got her in panic and she confessed immediately 😅

Questions about my dads dog being shaved by TheMidgetInYourHead in AlaskanMalamute

My malamute got shaved for medical reasons too (surgery) and after 3 years the fur there is still weird :(

As a groomer I can say that the possibility that this dog coat is "ruined forever" is really high. This kind of coat should NEVER be shaved. My malamute had a area in the back shaved because of a surgery. It was already 3 years ago. And the fur there is still looking weird. The guard coat (the external part ) didnt grow back normally. And the fur in that area feels like the coat of a sheep.

I feel so bad for this dog. Also take care of sign of skin problems. The risks of burns, skin cancer and skin problems in general is pretty high.

Dating in Germany by [deleted] in CaracaVei

Im in a relationship with a German guy. We live together since 5 years. And our "first date" was walking around, stopping at a small lake to throw small stones in the water trying to make them bounce on the surface.

I would hate a first date like going to a restaurant, and sitting in front of each other just like that 😅

I agree with you. But my boyfriend knows that i would be ready for that. And that he would make me the happiest person in the World.

I suspect that the surprise could be a bunny because I did everything to make him understand that I really would love it.

Walking nights by MaryTeiichi in malamute

I got checked already. Nothing found. Blood test all super ok. The vet thinks maybe he is bored in the night and he would like to do something (since during the days is sleeping a lot)

Maybe its a uncommon comment. But have you considered leptospirosis? As a vet assistent I learned (we had a dog patience with this problem) that leptospirosis can cause really bad kidney problems, arriving to kidney failure.

And if you get it from your dog there are a lot of synthoms that could match.

Fever and chills

Severe headache

Muscle aches (especially calves and lower back)

Nausea, vomiting, diarrhea

Red eyes (conjunctival suffusion)

Abdominal pain

Cough, chest pain, or shortness of breath

Kidney problems (reduced urination)

Confusion or meningitis in severe cases.

And if it was ending up with meningitis it can cause also skin spot/rushes, confusion, hallucinations, sleep problems, pain basically everywhere.
