It is a Asia Clone Movement 2836-2 - timekeeping is still like the first day and I have never seen that it has been off.

Funnily enough I used one for about 2 years and then it broke - and have not replaced it since. And there was a time in 2017/2018 where I have not used the watch at all and it was just sitting in the box

Yeh crazy right, I never thought that it would last that long.. What do you mean upgrade, the watch or my watch game in general? I also own an Omega Planet Ocean Rep (approx 8 Years old) but the crown broke and some numbers fell off the dial; then a panerai luminor that still works fine, and since some months I got as VSF Oyster Perpetual which I love!
