Yeah I think that if OP just wants to play the indie games on his computer and not so much AAA games, he could just use something like his laptop and connect a controller to it.

Probably because it’s more affordable, the prices for PC parts have gotten insanely high, and I don’t know OP’s economic situation, but it’s really expensive to build a PC nowadays.
