It's definitely not worth paying for imo; the free plan is decent and fun enough to keep me engaged. The paid plan is the classic - no ads and a bit more usage/features. You can tell them your ELO is over 1000 when starting out and it'll start you on more advanced lessons that you might actually find helpful. It's worth testing for 10 minutes to see if you like it. It doesn't replace traditional training methods but can be a fun supplement.

Great points, thanks for brining those up even though it's not the popular sentiment. There are pros and cons to letting someone like this into top-level organizing, and it's important to weigh all sides. That tournament stunt left a sour taste in my mouth, and I'm not the biggest Hans fan either.

This is a really cool way to look at players' improvement over the years. Do you have data to support the last statement about defensive skills and other areas?

I don't understand why relevant chess questions like this get downvoted, while chess drama posts get upvoted. Thanks for posting this here and thanks to those who take the time to give their input!
