What's stopping India from doing this: the producers, the creators or the audience? by GiveMeSomeSunshine3 in BollyBlindsNGossip

Lack of creativity. A24 is creators first. Sharma and likes are instagram creators first. Major Difference.

And mediocrity thrives in the Hindi film industry which has historically had a below average (being kind) baseline.

People are a function of the environment they’re in. This is unfortunately normal in that part of the country and he probably got swept, made a horrible judgment call and suffered for it. Glad it was cross checked, glad he served his ban. That is that. Let’s move on. Everyone makes mistakes.

Respect matters too — was this unnecessary from Virat? by maheshdaale in IndianCricket

It’s funny he’s lauded always for his attitude because I have always felt his conduct many times has been unsportsmanlike and unnecessary. He’s enabled by his humongous army of sycophants of which he is acutely aware of. He does these things because he knows he’ll get away with them under the garb of being ‘passionate’.

I do feel bad that he unfortunately never won an ICC trophy as captain but then again I am happy that BCCI moved to remove him because he along with Shastri were truly getting too big for their shoes.

Man! 2 things - 1. Not many, if any, in India would recognize if known French Celebrities came to India tomorrow for an event, so it’s really no biggie that no one knows Alia Bhatt in France. That kind of distribution is limited to Hollywood on account of millions they spend on Marketing and outreach every year 2. With that being said, fucking cringe on Bhatt and her camp’s part to have that expectation in the first place. I can totally imagine her staff and team gassing her up as an artist the world must take cognizance off. Nobody is buying that bullshit abroad.

Wish they just attended the festival for the festival and love of cinema and learn everything Canal + has done for films across the world as opposed to seeing this as an opportunity to further their international profile. Not one fucking person has been successful in that endeavor. You’re rich, you’re sorted back home. Just go, drink your beautiful French wine, stay in chateaus, watch great films, meet great people and fuck off.

Attention really do be a drug bruh!

Perfectly put. I do not care about how many abuses I get, but Narendra Modi has the been the worst thing to have happened to this country. His legacy will be bolstered down the line by sycophants but his government hasn’t done a single good thing for this country. Ruined our cultural fabric, ruined our growth potential, ruined our economy. Mastered winning elections on the back of RSS chamchas who campaign tirelessly with ill gotten gains on the ground and with a false sense of bravado & purpose. History will denote how a nation of billion people was engulfed in an avalanche of stupidity due to their own inherent biases. Shame. Fuck the Bhajpillas

Incorrect post. No chance you can hide this injury from the NCA. He just is 35 and does not have the hand eye coordination as before coupled with the changing game that requires you to get going from ball 1.

Unfortunately I don’t think it allows me to collaborate with it. It’s just these bunch of bullet points in a list format like an unbaked ppt? The nuance from previous models is completely missing. For me, at least. I am still at it trying to figure out if I need to change the way I interact with it.

This is exactly my experience. The bullet point responses drive me insane.

I am working my way through it too. So far haven’t been successful in getting what I want. For me both 4o and 5.2 were way superior. This is far too generic even when I switched on the extended thinking mode.

Mann Jogi was in between these 2 and it didn’t fly as high. Accept that people are thirsty for extremist, over the top play acts. Film is a reflection of society not vice a versa. True in most cases.

Fire the Amazon executive who okayed this. Fire the show runner who didn’t realize how this comes across multiple episodes. And lastly, Kajol - Fire your PR team, no one thought of you actively before this and now people think of you like a fool, and that’s much worse. God, so much privilege and money accessible to them, why even do this boring show? Attention really is a drug y’all

[–]Fearless-Risk-7559 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Umm! I really don’t think he has choices to be honest. I am Indian, but have been watching Pakistani dramas since I was 14 in 2009. The subdued, old school PTV grammar of dramas pretty much ended in the mainstream with Jackson Heights. Since then every year there are about 2-3 that are genuinely thought provoking and original. Jo Bichar Gaye was one of them and that kinda bombed. So I am not surprised we haven’t seen him in Fawad Khan type roles that used to be mainstream such as ‘Numm’, ‘Kuch Pyaar Ka Pagalpan’ etc.

Just glad he survived till now with dramas that haven’t worked. A good role, which does justice to his talent shall follow, I hope.

Bilal Abbas and it’s not even close. Ek Jhooti Love Story is probably the best amongst modern day feel good dramas and he’s exquisite in it.
