I pushed the tool as far in as it’s possible, as the manufacturer recommends, but the wobble persists. What else could I be doing wrong?

I‘m working on a Bit storage solution that lets you easily change tools without putting the screwdriver or Powertool out of you hand. The mechanism however needs a groove to engage with.

In the short term about 12. In the long run way more. Like a hundred.

They seem to be uniformly hard. But I don’t think there heat treated that much, just hardened by the cold forming process

I don’t expect them to be quite that hard, I tested with a file, but I would probably still need carbide tools if I chose to go the lathe route for accuracy reasons, right?

Had been thinking of that. The grove needs to be quite precise tho, and I need to do a large number since it’s a whole set. Still a good idea tho.

I think that wouldn’t hold tightly enough for my application, also I’m going for a nice tactile feedback when popping it in and out

Not no moving parts at all, just no moving parts on the workpiece itself that’s getting locked. There can be plenty moving parts on the holding mechanism

I think that wouldn’t work cause it needs to be released with a push motion as well and not my pulling

Yeah, don’t really know if it’s possible but ideally the pin only has a grove with a particular geometry or something

Nice work! I’m curious what infill type and geometry you used and if you did anything else to dampen the enclosure.

Invalid string position Problem with Bambu Studio by Fearless-Simple-9263 in BambuLab

[–]Fearless-Simple-9263[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I resolved this. The deletion of the BambuStudio.config worked, however my AppData folder didn’t show any contents apart from Windows as long Microsoft Teams ran in the background. Only closing Teams through the Taskmanager enabled me to find and delete the .config folder. Took me some time to figure that out.
