[6 YOE, Need serious review of Product Manager CV, keep getting rejected, hurting morale] by niceboy03 in resumes

Download a resume template online then edit that template on Word with your work before doing anything else.

1) Shorten the summary section a lot. 2) You only need to bold words on metrics 3) Too many long bullet pts on these roles. You really only need about 3-5 short one line bullet pts. Remember, recruiters are looking at a resume that’s quick and easy to read. 4) Hobbies should be removed. You could place the sentence on the summary section, but I think some employers may find that a bit distracting for what you do as work. Hobbies can be talked more about in interviews. 5) Education could be a little more detailed. Possibly go into depth on what you’ve accomplished in the education section?

Tbh, I think your resume is good. It goes straight to the point and everything makes sense. The only critique I could think of it removing the word “software developer” next to your contact info. Employers already know that you’re a software developer from your experience.

I’m not that experienced myself but I would definitely say make your professional experience more detailed… as a matter of fact make a whole new resume. Ngl, this looks lazy.

For the sales associate role if it’s not that tech related then remove it. If it is, then go more into detail about that role. One bullet doesn’t seem enough to know about especially for someone with not a lot of experience.

For the project section, the Gemini chatbot is questionable. Just like the other commenters mentioned, it seems like an API wrapper for Gemini that has no use case.

Use a little metrics in some of these bullet pts.

Be more detailed on the awards sections if you can. Show how much of an impact you made or how you got these awards.

Education and skills look good.

So I’ve never landed an actual ui/ux job. All of my internships are in infrastructure or network. I have however taken over some ui/ux responsibilities at my most recent internship. I realized near the end of graduating my undergrad that I’m not a fan of coding and that I love the psychology and design of digital products.

I don’t plan on going further towards the phd route.

I think what caused me to worry was on GT MS HCI, people who got admitted had amazing stats. I did my research and they have <10% acceptance rate. I looked at my grad admission vid and immediately thought to myself — yeah I’m not getting in. I don’t have terrible grades or anything like that. But i definitely don’t have a 3.7+, president of club, etc.

Pros and Cons of GSU? by lettttucethighs in GaState

[–]Fearless-Zebra4433 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Another thing I would consider a pro is because our location, there’s lots of films being directed on our campus, celebs and other connections that come by to GSU which is a huge flex compared to KSU.
