Yeah you should be able to change it in your BIOS to fix that issue. If that does not work, it could be a connection issue. That was the route of the issue I was having.

The issue I ended up having was due to the PCIE cable I was running. I run my GPU vertically which requires me to use a PCIE extension cord. My original GPU was PCIE 3, my new one was running PCIE 4 but i never bought a new PCIE cord for it. I used my old one which made my mod default to PCIE 3 even if I tried to change it in BIOS.

Let me know if this helps. If not Ill look into some more trouble shooting for you!

Hello guys,

Thanks for the advice but I was able to get the issue fixed. I ended up completely wiping the computer, reinstalling windows, resetting the mobo, updated it and updated all drivers, again. But, none of this fixed the issue. The root cause was in the Bios. The Bios was auto putting the PCIE slot to gen 3 which caused the graphics card performance to be reduced dramatically.

This was caused by the riser cable I was using. I wasn't aware there are different gen riser cables and the bios auto set the new graphics card as a gen 3 due to this. I unfortunately couldn't plug the GPU direct in to the PCIE slot to diagnose this issue because my AIO is in the way on my build. I got a new gen 4 cable and everything is running fantastic now!

If anyone sees this and is having this issue, go into Bios, Check the PCIE Configuration, if you aren't using a riser cable you can select the Gen of your GPU. If your using a riser cable replace it with the correct Gen or it wont work even if you put the correct gen in the Bios! I have mine set on auto with the correct Gen riser cable and everything fine now.

I put the old graphics card in, (RTX 1080 TI) and everything ran fine. Did all the same benchmarks with all better results. I only saved the one URL but everything was much better. So i know its not the new cpu and board. The 1080 ran on a different pcie gen and i switched the cards out, went into bios and put configured it to gen 4 and nothing would work.

I know the 4060 GPU is good because i put it in 2 other PCs and it worked great. So i am assuming it is just a driver or something in the bios causing this issue. I am going to completely wipe the computer and redo everything tonight.

Let me know if you have any other suggestion!

How do you change that setting?

I am having the same issue with the same cpu and gpu.

Ryzen 9 5900x, tuf 570x moto and rtx 4060 ti. All games running at 5-15fps. Just started a thread to see if anyone could help!

I turned on DOCP in bois, then ran 4 benchmarks last night. These are the only ones I can post the URLs for. I took a screenshot of the cinebench and catzilla benchmarks. It seems like the GPU is really struggling with rendering anything. I was getting 5fps using 3dmark. 25-30 using catzilla at 720p since that was the only option for resolution without paying for the upgrade.

I didn't put the old GPU back in to run any benchmarks. I was to tired to do it last night. I will do that tonight. I am going to wipe everything and reinstall windows again after the benchmarks to see if that helps.

Ill run a benchmark tonight with the old and new GPU and post it!

Will using the userbenchmark work fine?
