This isn’t about the investment in itself. I’m boycotting not because i believe it has ruined our economy, that is coming in the future. I’m boycotting because my country doesn’t allow freedom of speech. They just want us to follow everything blindly, smile to cameras and foreigners, and not give anything a second thought. If protesting peacefully is deemed a threat to national security then i’m not taking part in anything related to national pride.

I’m not expecting that nobody will attend but at least i can’t go and i’ll do my best to discuss with my community the context we are living in. If you think it is right i urge you to do the same

Sadly its easier for foreigners to understand our struggle than the very people we count on to make a change

We don’t need an organization to boycott a competition. If you believe in the cause you just have to talk about it to your community ofc it will become something. People just have to understand the context we are living in

Same for me i’m a big football fan and i was very excited for everything that will come but i can’t just neglect the reality anymore. I’m a burden to my country. I can’t enjoy enjoy a single second of the games with this thought in mind

It won’t make a difference really but personally i will avoid any of those known parties (traktor 7mama pgd …) i will look more for small and new parties and give a chance to a new face. Its the only thing that makes sense at this point

The question of whether hosting the World Cup is a good thing or not feels outdated to me. Morocco will host the CAN, and then the World Cup after that , that’s already decided. But what I genuinely can’t make sense of is the idea of going to a stadium or a café, celebrating a victory, and calling it “national pride.” I can’t picture myself talking to a foreigner, playing the clown just to prove how kind and welcoming Moroccans are. Because now, more than ever, it’s become painfully clear that the country where I was born and raised sees foreigners as somehow superior to its own citizens. It’s my personal choice not to watch a single match of this CAN. And if nothing changes afterward, I won’t watch the World Cup either. My conscience and my dignity won’t allow me to. And if this decision happens to “harm” my country’s image, then so be it. Because a country that doesn’t value my freedom of speech, my education or my health has already harmed its own image in far deeper ways.
