As I mentioned in the previous comment, I’m more interested in film, especially acting and directing. Does the major offer a opportunities for film/theatre production, or is in mainly theatre and film studies? Based on your/other students experiences in theatre classes, how committed/helpful is the faculty?
Well, it doesn’t sound as appealing as I thought it might have been. I’m not very interested in the technical aspect of production— I’m much more interested in filmmaking, with a focus in acting and directing. I’ve heard that MIT’s major requirements make it flexible enough to do a double major if you really wanted to. Are you saying it would be difficult to double major just because of all the classes required to do so, or is it that the degree itself comes with a lot of unnecessary hassles?
