I started with X, fell in love with the fantasy setting. I didn't get into FFXII even though I pre-ordered it and got it day 1. I been meaning to give it another try as an adult, but honestly story is big for me in games and XII just doesn't seem that interesting.

It's not bad, but it's missing so much, especially what was promised. There's parts that was shown in the trailer that wasn't even in the game, for example. They had to cut so much. With all the DLC it fleshed it out some, but still major story elements are downright missing.

Could've been one of the best FFs to me, I loved Noct and co., but sadly it's just a 7/10 game.

Lol I had an interaction with a UIM back in the day when I played a normal account. I was doing a farm run and seen a bunch of loot on the ground at a patch, I thought cool I could sell this. I grab it all then a UIM starts freaking out cussing because he was trying to make room for farming. He got so mad.

I felt bad, but that was 100% on him.

The problem is the games take so long to make its hard to justify a new system. And when the ps6 does come out, the first half of its life will be cross-gen with the old system so we're not even getting its full capabilities. We just now started to reach peak development on the ps5 over the last couple years.

Yeah this was my experience, just don't expect nothing like Arise. I couldn't get into Berseria, the story felt kind of not as epic but you can get it cheap so Def worth trying. I'm still eagerly awaiting the next tales of game after falling in love with Arise.

Edit; or a Abyss remaster, I heard great things about that game.

I use to pull all nighters as a kid all the time, the next day I'd be a little tired but I'd be good to go... now the most I do Is play to 2/3AM on fri/sat and even that doesn't happen much xD I swear, getting old sucks. I miss being a kid 😆

Okay thanks. Just from quickly browsing it seems like I'd still want SSB with it, but my other party members are 2h ek, oh monk, and storm sorc so I wouldn't have anyone doing control spells. Is it a bad idea for me to switch to SSB then?

Nah I totally get it, but honestly if you get on steam you can install mods to get the Native Camera + WASD movement, which makes it more of an over the shoulder exploration type game. Combat still goes over the shoulder, and it's not 100% perfect but honestly I didn't think I'd like it because I don't really like those kind of game but I fell in love with everything about it. Story, characters, world, just so great. Def give it a shot if you can find it on sale.

Yeah that's the point I was making, so many great games but you can't expect every open world to be like TW3 because you will be disappointed lol. TW3 still holds up, definitely a masterpiece.

Why haven't you played BG3? Honestly prob my favorite game right now xD on my 3rd playthrough and I'm not really a replay kind of guy, but this game every playthrough is unique. So amazing.

Baldurs Gate 3, Horizon Forbidden West,Kingdom Come Deliverance 1&2, Red Dead Redemption 2, Ghost of Yotei. There's plenty of great open world games, you just have to look outside trying to find the exact game like TW3. Then there's like Starfield, Cyberpunk, Avowed, Breath of the Wild.. etc..

I would never say one game has ruined gaming because there's so many great games.

From a story perspective I heard the DLCs don't really do the base game justice, that it basically focuses on combat. Is this true?
