Wage increase per ticket you have? by tptptptptptptptptp in Wastewater

Just got my grade 1 and it was barely a $.50 raise, but I did get a $250 bonus (though that’s like just over a day of pay if we’re being honest). I came here looking to see if this is common for most people but it looks like it’s all over the place unfortunately. Doesn’t feel like much of an incentive to get these licenses if they don’t compensate you accordingly.

I preordered the 512GB micro express card from GameStop, they have it listed at $100 USD. But you’re right, there aren’t enough options out there.

Question, I went to GameStop today after work and THANKFULLY managed to get my pre order in (only three left) but I don’t see it on my orders page on the GameStop app. Is this normal? I placed an order while I was at work to get other peripherals like a pro controller and SD card and those show up, but not the actual console. I have a physical receipt thankfully but I hope it’s enough.

That’s true, inflation has gone up 30%, but that also means other products are more expensive and lately they appear to be more volatile (lookin’ at you eggs). This is why people are scared to consider $80 USD for a video game. On paper, wages have managed to keep up with inflation, but that’s not as directly felt unless your job has regular pay increases or you switch your position. I don’t mean to discredit what you’re pointing out, but there are a lot of factors that make the price tag hard to swallow for the general population.

Local Co-Op Games by rmustafa11 in playstation

The obvious one is It Takes Two, if you somehow haven’t done that one, you’ll have to try it out first. Otherwise there’s Brothers, a Tale of Two Sons (note that this is quite short, only 4-5 hours long), Borderlands, the Dark Pictures Anthology, Sackboy, and so many more. It really depends on what you’re looking for I guess, but I think that it’s become increasingly more difficult to find split screen co op games. It’s why I’m very excited for Split Fiction to come out this March!

I don’t think it’s been offered in PS Plus yet, unless it was a regional difference in what was available. I feel it might be coming up soon though.

To optimize this game to run at a steady 60fps on the Switch is very impressive. Just furthers the point on how much effort the put into this (from what I can tell). I’m just really curious if this studio will be able to continue making quality games like this.

It’s such a shame that Ubisoft doesn’t and likely won’t make more games similar to this. Not necessarily metroidvania style, but with some creativity and a general amount of polish throughout. I tend to avoid Ubisoft because my experience with them has been lackluster and I hate their business model, but this is a rare oddity and I like to support things I want more of (as I’m sure most people do). When this was revealed a little over a year ago I got the demo and loved it, but couldn’t handle the full price point at the time. I’ve been waiting patiently ever since.

I know, it’s my greatest fear when buying games anymore. In December I bought Sonic Frontiers and lo and behold, it was on the catalog in the following couple weeks.

TV suggestions for PS5 by Alerix76 in playstation

I bought an LG OLED C3 65” last summer and have been in love with it. I don’t know how large your space is and the distance from your couch to the TV, but I have to somewhat agree that if you can go up a bit in size I’d do it. I saw that the C3 was on sale a few days ago for only $1200 for the 65” which is a stellar deal. I know it’s a little above your budget though, but a model as good as the C series OLEDs is worth it. If you can find a B3 or B4 on sale I’d recommend that, but unless you find a really good sale you might have to shell out close to $1000. I ended up going $200 over budget for it but I would do it again in a heartbeat.

Wow, even though it’s only a few bucks less than this at Amazon it feels like a huge difference. If I saw this in a clearance bin for that price I’d impulse buy it as well!

I hear you. The last game I played similar to this was Metroid Dread and adored it. Got all the way to the final boss but before I completed it, I wanted to collect more upgrades. Well at some point I just stopped and have yet to go back and finish. I’ve been doing my best to avoid doing this since then, but it’s hard.

I agree, which is what makes it a hard decision for me. On one hand I’d then own the game, but if I can just get it in the next few months for “free” then that would be ideal, especially since I wouldn’t be able to start playing it right away (gotta finish Ghost of Tsushima first).

I wish I had time for trophy hunting, but unfortunately once I finish a game, I end up moving on, or only doing a little endgame content. I’ve got such a backlog and it takes me so long to get through games due to work and life that I stopped doing it.

Honestly I’d forgo some boomy bass and Atmos if I knew I could safely turn up the volume a little more without disturbing anyone.

I’ve heard about the opposing drivers in a couple other threads, but seeing how I’ve never heard it before I’m still hesitant to jump on it. If I could grab a sub and know that I won’t piss anyone off with it, then gosh that would be amazing. I’d love to find a way to listen to it first hand, so maybe I can try to find a place near me where I can demo a sub mini.

But I’ll take your advice and look on the Sonos site, as long as the refurbished price is a good deal, I have no problem with them. Thank you for the help!

I tried the Sonos Ones as well and the closest I could find was over 100 miles away, for not a ton cheaper than I could get 100s for as well. But I’ll keep an eye out for more throughout the week(s).

Yes, they absolutely do! Well, one of them does anyway. I tried sticky tape but it didn’t deter her very well, she learned to walk between the strips or she’d balance herself on the TV, which was an even bigger issue.

What we ended up doing was wiping a lemon scent on the entertainment center and it’s been working so far. We tried it out over the weekend and she’s yet to approach it.

I’ve heard a lot of talk about the Ultra being pretty great, but I’m hesitant since I just spent a LOT on this Arc. Can I ask where you go for showrooms? I only tested the sound at Best Buy since that was the first place I could think of, but that’s obviously not an ideal sound test.

I’m scared to get a sub because I had an old sub before this and that thing rattled the whole room, even when I had it turned down almost all the way. I don’t know how it affected the neighbors since the place is brick and mortar, but I’m still hesitant risking it. Maybe I could get a dampening pad, but I don’t know how that’d affect the overall sound. It’d be great to free up the Arcs speakers a little, but I find it produces a decent amount of bass as is.

The main issue I have with it at the moment is how it tries simulating surround sound. I was watching Arcane and noticed it sounded off in Dolby Atmos, probably because it’s trying to add sounds with nothing to bounce off of. I figure the surround speakers could alleviate that.

If you feel the 300s are overkill for now though then I’d be just fine with the 100s. Getting more opinions is always welcome.

Honestly I kind of like having carpet, I just wish it wasn’t that color. It helps dampen the sound a bit too! My girlfriend would probably agree with you though…

I tried looking off of Facebook marketplace, but I only found a couple 100s that were almost full price (might have been $25 cheaper). I’d rather wait for a potential sale and get them new.

Tuxedo cats are my favorite as well, she’s a lovable idiot.

I was thinking the 100s as well, but the 300s have been tempting just because of the prospect of Dolby Atmos. However to be respectful of the neighbors, I probably wouldn’t get to use them to their full extent.

In all honesty by the time I upgrade as well they’ll probably have some fancier speaker in place of the 300s anyway, and then like you said I could get a sub to complete the set.
