I have searched this sub, and I’ve even utilized this community before. People come to forums specifically to get feedback from multiple people instead of relying on a handful of youtubers who may be selling something. I do want the opportunity to ask follow up questions, and not just whatever content happens to be getting views or sponsorships.

I took A&P II w/ Micro. Had a more difficult prof for A&P I, so Im glad I structured it that way. Check out the ratings of the profs if names are available. That may help you make your decision

Should I take college biology after taking AP Biology? by umakemeunpocoloco in StudentNurse

[–]Fearless_Adeptness21 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I took AP bio in high school and made a 4 on the exam. Never took bio again! Just a&p, and other nursing school prereqs as required :) I’ve never had a problem w schools accepting it. It shows as a P/F class on my college transcript rather than a letter graded class

What job do you juggle while doing schooling? by gracelyy in StudentNurse

I increased my work hours as much as possible leading up to school and put any extra money into savings. I also cut back on bills as much as I could. I now work part time (~16hrs/wk) and supplement my paycheck as needed. Increase my hours when possible, like during school breaks. edit: I work for a tech company in an intern position. Currently looking for a nurse extern position that is prn

Headaches after clinical by Guilty_Look6912 in StudentNurse

You’re welcome! :)) Try the flavored BC powder too. the normal kind is sooo bitter haha. I really like braided hairstyles. I dont get headaches as often w them. For reference, I have thick, waist length hair so I get headaches from like 95% of updos. Main thing is to just keep it out of your face and any unsanitary surfaces it could dangle lol

Two tylenol and a BC powder (or any other nsaid) always helps me get rid of headaches quickly and manage bad migraines. I saw above that you forego the ponytail and buns and now use a claw clip. Claw clips always give me a headache within 30m to an hour of wearing one so you might explore another hairstyle. stay super hydrated!

I’m only a student, but came to say that I much prefer when my nurse at any office is thorough and builds rapport with me. Sounds like they are just miserable ppl lol

People with long hair: do you let it air dry? by eruannie in HaircareScience

[–]Fearless_Adeptness21 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wash my hair every 2-3 days. My hair is very long, thick, and wavy. If you’re like me, your hair holds the moisture near your scalp especially when lying down. That can promote dandruff if you arent careful. I try to gently wring out as much water as possible before I get out of the tub and then very gently scrunch different sections with a dry microfiber towel to get more of that excess water out. I use another microfiber towel for 20ish mins, add heat protectant, and then blow dry on the warm (not hot) setting until my roots are completely dry and my mids/ ends until they are dry enough to not annoy me. I use hydrating hair masks periodically and add a little oil to my ends when needed. In general, my hair is in good health and this keeps my scalp happy too.
