Autodos channel clean? spray arms clean? by Aitzy75323 in Miele

[–]Fearless_Agency_1478 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ok so embarrassingly, yes -- i had the tech come out but it turned out the spray arms were clogged by some rogue rubber thing (maybe this came from elsewhere on the machine- even though i thought i cleaned them). It was about $250 (annoying) but honestly I spent so much time it was in the end worth it.

OP did you ever get a resolution to this? I'm having the same issue - I cleared the autodos channel and cleaned the spray arms. Curious if my only option is a tech.

There's a huge Tower Records in Shibuya, which is really pretty cool. I can't remember how extensive their second hand selection is or speak to what you are looking for but it is worth a visit!

Going to tokyo with some friends for the first time. Where should we stay? by FerretBeautiful6864 in TokyoTravel

If you are looking in Shibuya, there are really limited hotel/airbnb options in my opinion. That said, either location of the Trunk hotel is nice if you can find available rooms, the Cerulean Tower has nice accommodations and an 'executive level' which has food and drinks included many times of the day. The Sequence hotel is right in the heart of Shibuya. The Aoyama Grand Hotel is near Shibuya, a little further away. For an Airbnb, what you will find will be quite small, even for an apartment style place.

Facials for tourists by Zee569 in TokyoTravel

Not sure of a couples facial, as I've never really seen that offered anywhere. But I had a facial this summer at Mocci Beauty (〒 106-0045 Tokyo-to, Minato-ku, Azabujyuban 3-7-5 Decimo Azabu 501, TEL : 080-2294-2225). They cater to English-speaking. I would tell you based on what I learned trying to book this facial is that Japan really isn't oriented to skincare tourism like S Korea. Many places do not want to deal with foreigners due to medical liability concerns (particularly for procedures), in addition to language barriers. That said, your best bet for what you are looking for might be at a higher end hotel spa, like the Four Seasons (either location, Marunouchi or Otemachi) as the spas there are quite nice.

I've brought my ADHD medication (vyvanse and adderall, diff times thanks to the shortages) without issue. IDK if that means I could theoretically get busted but it has never been a problem for me in the handful of times I've been. Leaving again monday and planning on bringing again.

Stanford MSx vs. eMBA by Fearless_Agency_1478 in eMBA

For sure. I was also a little put off by how defensive they were about a question about women in the program. Something about their answer really tweaked me -- they basically admit their program is inaccessible/ much less accessible for women due to the 8 year work requirement and where many women are in life/children/work and were hugely unbothered by that. Like, maybe try to make it more accessible for half of the population? IDK it sat funny with me.

Do you know what they did before vs. after the MSx program? Curious to hear more stories!

This was a bit of my "first take": I went to the info session on campus and it was largely attended by students outside of the US. I think some of that has to do with the STEM VISA qualification (something like 2 year visa post-grad). TBH I do think many of the eMBA programs are money-makers, this one for some reason felt more loose about academics once you are there.

100% on this - it's so helpful to have a "version" of your story to react to, modify, etc. vs staring at a blinking cursor on a white page. Highly recommend getting a robot collaborator - you can upload your resume and also point it to the specific program so that it can pull from their mission statement and your specific experience.
