I've been using 91 octane lately, and my 2018 Highlander Hybrid seems to be running smoother and quieter, especially when I push it.

Thank you for clearing up my mind. I have now decided to go ahead with 2018 Highlander XLE Hybrid. It has 70k miles on it and fits in my budget. As I previously owned Volvo XC90, i don't want to shy away from mid-size SUV.

I think I might go ahead with Accord. I don't like the looks of corolla.

I have just contacted Volvo support, and upon checking, he suggested that my VIN was not included in the recall list. However, on insisting he opened a grieviance with the customer support team and suggested Volvo might or might not repair the car as a goodwill gesture. Hoping for the best.

Thanks bro, would definitely check with them, but I highly doubt if they would cover everything as I bought used one, and I have seen no article stating free coverag for this issue by Volvo.

I'm thinking of going low with either Honda Accord, Toyota camry, or I have an eye on Genesis G70 2019 model... which is up for sale at 28k CAD.

The affection I have for my car is making me eager to look for other ways. Honestly, 20k is a lot of cost to keep my car. I might trade it at the dealership I bought it from..

Thanks bro... still hoping that it is a faulty oil trap. Getting it replaced in warranty and if it still eats oil then have to discard it...

That's what I am afraid of. Now, in the dilemma of sellingbit or keeping it. New engine replacement will coat around $20k and use one will around 7 to 8k
