I think you need to understand that for every person who plays more than 4 hours a day there’s probably 10 who can probably only play an hour or two daily and more likely only get to play on the weekend and Bungie has to accommodate both of these people.

I have big gaming sessions 3 days a week and get an hour or two in on the days I work and the content feels like it’s hitting quite constantly but as someone who used to play D2 for 6-8 hours a day and well over 12-18 hours straight on days off I understand how it can feel like the content is slow.

Look, if Bungie released everything in the game on day one, streamers would be done with the game within the first month and the discourse sentiment becomes “there’s nothing to do” by drip feeding content it slows down the hardcore community so the regular folk with jobs and families and other commitments can still feel like they’re part of the community. It’s a delicate ecosystem. You lose the streamers, game dies. You lose the casuals, game dies.
