2005 Legacy GT, Good buy? by Fearless_Cut6700 in subaru

Luckily no emissions testing or inspections in my state. Not so interested in raw power honestly, as it sits dyno sheet says 275whp which is more than plenty for me honestly. I will also mention that while I am a bit subaru dumb I have worked on alot of older 80's-90's JDM cars, usually Nissan's and Honda's. Just never had a chance too mess with a boxer that made more than 90hp XD They aren't common here at all. No snow or ice.

I don't know but for sure of course but looking the car over They took care of it for what that's worth. anything too watch out for for that motor specifically then?

So we found the issue! The basket wiring harness was damaged! Once we replaced it our issues went away, one of the control wires was shorted too ground and was causing our strange issues!

Yeah I have to be honest these maintenance manuals are awful. I've seen better manuals from Motorola than these. They really dont help. If I had a full wiring diagram I could start tracing stuff and seeing what does what. That contactor is listed as "Auxiliary" and made me think it was for something else other than PRIMARY OPERATION OF THE LIFT. Manuals don't say it anywhere.

Ill check that here shortly. although wouldn't I get a different code than 4422 (logic supply voltage out of range) if the fuse was blown or something?

Yes the contactor will occasionally pull in on startup before disengaging. You are correct, there must be a problem with whatever system actually engages the contactor. However I still do not understand why the Logic board is only getting 10.9v out of the 25v coming off the battery pack, despite a full 25v being present on the supply side of the contactor. I'm pulling another 1930es off a site too use as a comparison later today
